unnecessary space usage and poor ui design
this is the current layout, there is lots of poor space wastage and friction in its use
my redesign, completely get rid of the activation page, get rid of all the info for every action
when nothing is being hovered over, show the objective of kill raiders or whatever, but when you hover over a button, then u can show the info on what it dose
resize text to all be of a similar size, none of this 'some text is tiny and some is huge'

I like the redesign. I just want to remind readers that "hover" does not exist for controller players. They can surely show the info when the player "navigates" to one of the statuses. But they would also need to be able to navigate off the status, without changing it, if we want to show them the "kill raiders objective" again.
Additionally, I think that a button (e.g. "F") should be pressed (and held?) to change the outpost status. I don't like how lightweight it feels now to change quite an important thing about the outpost!

many controller games have a rudimentary mouse function controlled by one of the sticks, also as there is only 5 buttons on that menu redesign, using the arrows left to right would work the same

still just as relevant as when it was posted

bump for visibility

Yes, and console players hate it.
No more mouse cursors via joystick please.

also many have the option to just use the arrow buttons.....
in my redesign example. all you would need is left and right to select between the different active states and prestige
