The most important Spirit change didn't happen
She needs a tell for when she activates her power.
That's honestly the biggest issue with her, lack of feedback.
You gave her a vaulting animation for that very reason, but not for her power?
Can any dev clarify why? @Peanits ?

I am asking for a tell of when she activates her power. Similar to how hag crouches, wraith bings his bong and nurse lifts her arm. Just start phasing and stop if you wanna fake it

Don't know about you but Prayer Beads is a pretty good telltale given that it's now a global indicator rather than strictly be inside her Terror Radius.

yes theres not enough counterplay spirit should be seen while phase walking too and her phase walk speed should be reduced to 5m/s to be exact same with legion and should have a 30 sec cooldown

There's tells with her default appearance. They will more than likely shadow change her outfits to match this.

It's a tell that you are using prayer beads. Not that she activated her power.
Nurse had a huge tell for the longest time... didn't seem to be an issue until the latest nerf

Her shards do not glow, that's a myth someone managed to spread. Such a thing is not in the code.
Her hair might reset, but do you have visual proof?

Exactly the biggest problem and not even mentioned, she can just stand there waiting and pretending to use the power and that's frustrating, Even worse on Ps4 with low Fps you can not even deduce if she is there or not poorly done!

There will probably be other changes to her that they didn't announce til PTB like they did Legion and Nurse. Hopefully not as devastating as Legion's changes though.
Honestly, I'd be fine if there was a small tell where she is, like her interacting with corn and grass.
She would still be very strong, but survivors can be rewarded for paying close attention to the environment and react.

There used to be a bug where every time she phased you would hear her audio cue even in her TR, meaning you knew 100% when shes phasing during the whole match.
I played against spirit with this bug, and it was one of the easiest experiences I've come against. Knowing when to stand still, walk, run, or tbag at a pallet because she was fake phasing made the spirit a goth vsco girl uncapable of killing anyone.
So, no. A tell when she's phasing is not necessary because it completely kills her potential.

I said a tell for when she activates her power. Similar to how you can start putting a trap down but you can stop early for mindgames.

I cannot show you sadly as I actually don't find many spirits, but if you ever played Prop Hunt on Modern Warfare Remastered or any other game that the models have the "Lock" option, you will see the model shift in place and it is VERY noticeable, you can tell with spirits body restarting animation

In my opinion her lack of feedback for when she's phasing isn't really needed if you can hear her phasing... I think the updates they've made to her is good enough, just making her more balanced and giving survivors a chance to react. There was a few items I didn't think really needed the nerf but the main points I've had issues with have been addressed so I'm alright with it.
After this update we'll see who the true spirit mains are, like all the people who abandoned the nurse even tho she's still pretty good.

Well, most of the time I only see spirit mains (like the one I directed my comment to in my previous post) sharting on survivors for wanting simple QoL changes on her, making the glass shards on her body glow brighter when she is phasing would have been and interesting change.

Nurse went over like a lead balloon and now she's barely played. It's better to take a measured approach to nerfs. They can still add additional changes to Spirit if she is still overperforming after these changes.

Comparing to characters that are different in the sense of how the pvp is played out is not a good argument..... nurse can see her oppenent, spirit cannot.... survivors know that.... if the team adds too much of a tell or an obvious tell survivors will turn the game into a walkathon...... the most boring pvp of all time..... at least in her current state her tells are not obvious and she forces survivors to predict her movement, or make a play...

Yes, but the effect is barely noticeable, it should be a bit brighter so you could actually reliably tell when she is phasing.

Thats the thing, she doesn't have tells. And I am not asking for her to scream "PHASING IN 3,2,1..." just something where if you are looking at her, you can tell she's going into phase (not that she's actually phasing mind you, going into it).

2) Not having a tell is the point of her power. I literally can't repeat that enough. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHEN SHE IS PHASING! You complain about this because you fall for the stand still trick, but that trick is very easy to beat if you play it like she is both standing there AND phasing. If you are trying to guess which she is doing, you already lost.
If you know when she is using her power, she loses all pressure on you because you know when to run and when to play stealthy.
Try this. Make a KYF game. Being in a chat/Discord with a friend. Have your friend pick Spirit. Any time they phase walk have them tell you. You will see how easy she is to beat.
If the devs wanted you to know when she was phasing they wouldn't have made the husk appear to be an AFK Spirit and they wouldn't have had the husk keep a TR that overrides phasing woosh.

1) the vaulting animation was given to her to remove confusion, if she was all about confusion like you said, this wouldn't have happened

Her shards glow when she phases, it is not a myth I tested it myself with one of my friends the other day to see if it was real or not. However, it is not reliable, you can get skins that completely cover it up and on certain maps the lighting seems to screw it up.
