I remember the old good times
I remember sabo jakes, infinites, insta mories, double windows shack, megs, double pallets, never ending iron grasp, new/full moons, insidious camping nurse, teabagging streamers, flying billy. Oh boy even someone said "Wraith is the best killer in the game right now". Yea that was fun many bugs of course but nobody really cares.
When Im reading forum, steam discussions, reddit is all about wishing, nerfing, buffing just to making the others side suffer. Seriously theres 8/10 topic for changing something that was in the game like forever.

They were only "good old times" if you were mainly playing survivor back then, it was extremely busted as a killer having to deal with all that.

Them removing the ability to see ranks in the lobby just made solo survivor more unbearable

Killer was challenging 4k was uncommon, now i dont remember really when the last time i hit less than 4k..

You're mistaking the game being horribly imbalanced for being completely one-sided. As much BS as there was on both sides, good players did know how to fight back.

Both sides had a loooot of BS machine gun builds ect ect was very rampant.

The only thing I miss from the old times, was the sound. Like you could actually consistently hear people. No survivors randomly getting Iron Will midway through chase, no music blasting off your ears like in a disco, no sound occlusion blocking 90%+ of the sound from certain angles.
Those were the golden times for headphone users.

Just because killers had some BS things does not mean they were even remotely equivalent.

Maybe you need to explain how anything I said was "filling words in your mouth". (I clearly didn't, but you can try anyway)

Pointing out one side was more busted than the other does equate to there being zero counter play back then or that there was nothing good players could do.
So a statement like:
"good players did know how to fight back."
is indeed "filling words in your mouth".
It's only an outrageously revisionist statement if you're a new a player and didn't actually play back then.

You forgot when BNP used to instantly fix a generator. Just tap the gen and boom...it’s done. 4 BNP’s meant a killer basically started the trial with one generator.
