Keys and Mori's
This was inspired by a recent Tru3 clip I watched where he wanted to start a discussion over Keys being better than Mori's. This must remain respectful, but I do want to hear everyone's opinion.
Tru states that he believes Keys are better since they allow two Survivors to escape when they have only done 3 gens. Additionally, they also nearly guarantee those two Survivor's a pip, while also (generally) forcing the Killer to black pip or de-pip.
As for Mori's he states that they usually force the Killer to black pip if you Mori everyone immediately.
Personally, I see what he is saying. In the game's ranking system, Keys will allow you to rank up faster. The game doesn't punish you for using them, it rewards you. With Mori's it does punish you, as you are usually getting rid of a lot of hook states.
Both end the game prematurely, but I think Mori's are better. They have the power to simply end the match. If you can find a weak Survivor, one that can't loop you for 3 gens, they lose. Keys have a little counterplay, you could take Franklin's, you could slug, you could tunnel the person with the Key.
What do you guys think? Again, keep this civil and respectful!

He counts pipping as winning so it makes sense. Getting a 3k/4k is a win to me so moris are more powerful. Especially since you can easily tunnel someone off hook and get them out of the match instantly. You don't have to worry about ds either.

Unless there is a locker.
I consider pipping or a 4K a win. Either works for me lol

I've never cared about depiping from keys hell I Dont wanna pip as killer get me away from killer red ranks

Meh. I have an alright time at red ranks.

In terms of what the game considers a win he is absolutely right.

I can't count pipping as a win or a depip as a loss when the emblem system is so deeply flawed.

I think he also mentioned the fact that you can get to keep the key after the match, but killers can't keep their moris.

I imagine if you asked the survivor who got mori'd which is more powerful I'm pretty sure you could guess that players answer. That player most likely will have de-pipped with little counterplay possible. The 2+ survivor escaping through hatch event is far less common than mori's as well. Neither is fair or balanced though. It's time that both got looked at.

I actually did a little personal experiment. I counted the amount of mori's I saw from the time Stranger Things dropped to December 1st. I had 2 Ebony's and a Cypress. They really aren't as common as people think.
I've had the opposite experience with keys. I have had a total of 22 people escape thru the hatch using a key. Probably inflated due to the Archives wanting you to run Plunderer's.
That being said, I agree. Something needs to be done about both.

You must be incredibly lucky dude, I go against more ebony moris than that per week. Especially since so many killers are afraid of pink neas and flashlight for some reason. Chances of going against moris legit increases when you bring a flashlight or use the pink hair.

I don't think so. I play on Xbox NA Rank 1 for reference.
Also, the one of the two times I got an Ebony, he just mori'd everyone on death hook, so he would've won without it. That's what I do when I have a daily.

I play on PC EU at rank 1. It could be different on consoles or other regions but moris are definitely not that uncommon for me. I also very rarely see people mori on death hook.

They also don't have to spend 6-7k to get their base power to risk losing it when they don't survive either, and overall get paid more bloodpoints per match.

Why do people care about rank so much? It genuinely confuses me.
I don't have fun at red ranks. Most killers at red ranks play to get the 4k and do it by any means necessary.
But to answer your question moris are more powerful. Simply because they are easier to pull off and have the potential to ruin the game for 4/5 people in the match and not just 1/5

Take anything tru says with a grain of salt. He wants game to be killer sided and spends most of his days complaining about all things survivor related. Dude needs a break and to play something else for a bit.
If games going rough, they’re all “optimal swf” with dead hard. If he’s winning, the survivors are chill. Plus he’s always praising himself for being opinionated and a real rebel against what everyone else thinks. Dude does no wrong in his mind, which is classic narcissism at its finest. He’s also always acting bored and annoyed with the people he’s chatting with. Watch and look for the things I said, and you’ll see what mean. I can’t watch him anymore and I really wanted to like him.
Moris and keys are annoying for each side, but they’re rare. I think Mori is easier to use as keys take a lot of work and in my experience work only like 20% of time. Either can’t find hatch, someone dies too early, or killer tunnels one with key. It’s risky to bring in.

I play on EU Rank 1-4 and see Moris probably every 5 games on average. Most of the time it's an Ebony.
Rarely see keys, unless theyre looted in game.

I don't think he is Killer sided. I don't normally think he is even right. However, the man literally said that he wanted to open a civil discussion about it. I am not sure how that is objectionable.

I was talking about tru not the person who posted this. Was I not clear?

I agree. I have 3 accounts on my ps4. Once I get ranks to 5-6, I change accounts until season ends because I refuse to do red ranks. First my buddies I play with can’t get past rank 9–10, despite us starting to play this at same time. Second because I like games that are fun and red ranks are not at all fun.

Like I said Xbox NA Rank 1.
I saw two Ebony's and a Cypress. Maybe I'm lucky.
