Which Killer's Add-on Set Is The Best?

Boss
Boss Member Posts: 13,617

What i mean is...

Which Killer has the Add-on set that, to you, best defines what an Add-on set should be.

Think of their powers, their weaknesses, their gameplay-changers, their cost, all of it.

Wraith: The Ghost - Soot and Coxcombed Clapper. The Wraith is all about surprise first hits, IMO, and this can virtually guarantee them in many scenarios. Also a great way to get grabs. The biggest counter is Spine Chill but if they're not paying attention or if they think you're further away than you are, you can still get them easily.

Add in Nurse's Calling and it can be a brutal match. Edit: And Sloppy Butcher, duh!

    Legion.

Cold Dirt and Joe's Mix Tape.

Bcs they become normal Legion with not frustrating 3 seconds stun as it should be.

Wraith or Trapper. Both of them have really interesting addons that can change your gameplay hard.

Wraith shadow dance= A aggressive pallet break playstyle, paired with spirit fury enduring really strong!

All seeing and silent bell= sneaky hit and run wraith

    --------------

Trapper bloody coil+oily coil= You place obvious trapps that blocks good walking ways so survivors waste alot of time disarming those and get injured, good with tanatophobia.

Basicly every other addon combination. -->Hiding trapps <--

There are more combinations that can be fun but these are the most fun and best I know and use. The rest of the addons are ALL usable and have their reason to be taken. All of the addons are well designed and are fun to use and feel good. They are all very counterable and fair.

Nurse in the other hand is a bad example for addon sets here is why:

With the nurse they had some good ideas for addons but some where kinda... mehh. Both ultra rares suck for my opinion, they are boring and have almost more downsides than benefits. Nurse has 3 bloodpoint farm addons... why??? I guess they ran out of ideas otherwise I cant imagine why she should have 3 xD. However some addons are really cool! Idk the names of the addons but there is one where you teleport with a extra button back to your original position. Or you get undetactable status effeckt after a hit. Thouse are good and interesting addons, I wish she would have more like that!

Here's my stuff for my mains:

For Nurse, I'd say Wooden Horse and Dark Cinture (Use wooden horse with Unrelenting to deal with not losing those pesky DHers).

For Oni, I'd say Bloody Sash for the extra movement speed while absorbing, and Wooden Oni Mask/Splintered Hull for the extra blood orbs.

For Clown, either of the feather addons (it's quite silly to be slowed down while throwing by a power that is supposed to slow survivors down) and either reloading addon.

For Myers, I like the Dead Rabbit and Monitor combo, as well as any of the addons that make gaining evil faster.

Yes, but it has a lesser return (Since dead rabbit is based upon % value, while Monitor is a set 8 meters). So you'll not get as much value out of dead rabbit if you are running Monitor with it - but it still does work.

    Wraith or Myers.

Wraith's are all a huge help to his power, and have no outliers. It's very consistent.

Myers' add-ons alter his core gameplay, giving him many different playstyles and opportunities.

I agree with this. Their addons are what the devs should aspire to do with all of the killers. Transformative, strong, and no abject meme nonsense like the Nurse's new garbage addons. Even the Hag has interesting things like Shackles and Granmas Heart. The last few killers, especially the oni, have had some of the most disappointing addons ever. It's all vanilla ######### and serves no purpose.

That one, i think it's called Anxious Gasp, that just grants some extra BP...

It feels like they just completely ran out of ideas for the last Add-on.

Michael has some terrific add ons.

I don't think add ons that give extra BP are a bad thing. I love them on Wraith, Myers and Trapper. But they also have plenty of other great add ons. I never play the Nurse so idk about her.

Why the hell is there a 90 second exhaustion addon?

  • YaiPa
    YaiPa Member Posts: 1,929

huntress was created and designed when exhaustion worked differently, since you could gain exhaustion back even while running. Nowadays 90 seconds it's clearly an overkill, but they asked me for huntress' strongest and most optimal combo...

If there's gonna be 90 seconds of exhaustion you should be able to run while the timer drains to balance it out. Also does the 90 second exhaustion stack? (So if you hit two exhaustion hatches back to back it would be 180 seconds instead of 90?)

Not quite, i asked what Killer you think has the best example of what an Add-on set should be for all Killers.

  • YaiPa
    YaiPa Member Posts: 1,929

You get back to 90 seconds when you get hit a second time.

All these things will be changed with huntress rework/add-on change, which will happen not soon, I guess.

Hag has the BEST Add ons that change her gameplay.

    Wall Hag, Anywhere Hag ...

Only one I wish was different is Hinder Hag because it takes your teleport for a useless debuff

Hag was the first killer I got red add ons with and it set me up for disappointment because no other killer has such game changing add ons. In fact most killers just get ass ons 🀣

Freddy. He's the only one who can have a different ability by equipping a brown addon

    Wraith

    His add-ons are all good

Wraith has really solid addons. A few that increase BP gain, a few that are just generally helpful, and a few that are really strong, The Ghost and Coxcombed Clapper in particular.

Myers too. Dead Rabbit and M&A gives 0 Terror Radius. Tuft of Hair and Tombstone are alright, Tuft especially. Scratched Mirror Myers is probably the scariest thing in the game.

But most of all, let's not forget the best addon combination in the game.

I don't play Plauge because can't stand vomits, but her Black Incense sounds insane so pair that with something.

Clown: Ether 15 Vol% plus Flask of Bleach is crazy..survivors going nowhere
