Hex Ruin Idea

As we all know, Hex Ruin got nerfed leaving many killers upset and vulnerable to gen rushing. However, I have an idea that can make hex ruin a more balanced perk for both survivors and killers. Basically, this is a modified version of the pre-nerfed ruin. You take the pre-needed ruin, but remove the great skill zone leaving only 2 options, good skill check (which will cause gen progression to stop and remove a small amount of it) or miss it (which removes a greater amount of gen progression and gives off a notification to the killer). However, the catch is that the skill check only appears for a limited amount of occurrences per generator (4,5, or 6 times no more no less). This will slow the game down just a little bit, but still make it fair for survivors since the skill checks will not occur very often. The perk tiers can vary from number of occurrences and generator digression penalty for the skill checks. What does the community think? I am open to discussing if this is a good idea or not and how I should modify it.
