Why doesn't grabbing somebody out of a trap count as interrupting?

You're literally interrupting their escape.

    Don't the relevant challenges and trophies specify "interrupting generator repairs"?

    If not I have no clue. It should definitely count as an interruption.

    The challenge states 'Interrupt and Grab one Survivor.' So, it doesn't specify, just an interruption and grab. I would think a trap would qualify.

    But, a survivor whos trapped isn't doing anything to be interupted for, unless you've interupted them crying out in pain attempting to escape. Trying to escape a trap wouldn't class as interupting someone in my opinion. Gen, hook or vault grabs are interuptions for me.
