Spirit, opinions?

Pretty balanced and fun killer, Spirit is hard to learn but fun to master. I love her character, her lore, her legs, her bootie, her weapon, her playstile, everything!

I want to learn from you how do you feel about her :3

Let me know down below!!!

She is really fun to play as and against, she is also well balanced out as in order to counter her, you have to mindgame her while she is mindgaming

You can't braindead counter her like some other killers, you have to have brains to, but her lore is great

Not bad killer. If all survivors take IW or you get a glitch, you become blind and deaf 110 speed m1 killer.

I actually contest that notion, I think she still is one of the worst killers in the game to face, and only because she's bugged does it make her tolerable to face, particularly if she's running stridor.

Firstly, the lack of any feedback makes my skin crawl. There's no possible mindgame a survivor can do, and the only counterplay is a literal guess. There's no way to know if she's phasing or not if you don't get the bug where her phasing sound still plays in her terror radius. "Just look at her crystals" if she's that close, you're dead anyway. Plus, they're bugged, and on some. Skins they're covered so it doesn't even matter at all.

If they have stridor, then as soon as you're hit there's nothing you can do. No "let me play around this", no "Oh ill use iron will next time", there is nothing you can do provided the spirit has half a brain cell and knows what she's doing. When I'm not using a meme build iron will is a go-to perk, and I'm honestly considering using no mither as well just to stop stridor spirit annoying me as much as it does because *there is nothing a survivor can do*.

Plus, she's not particularly hard to play. I can pick up an M1 killer and, provided I have perks, can probably get at least one kill whilst trying to play fair (there are obviously good games and bad games). Spirit isn't like that, and relies on her power. I'm awful at killers who play like this, yet somehow can get a 3k or a 4k playing as her, and honestly it's just unfair. She's easy to pick up as long as you know the basics to her kit.

Yeah, I really don't like the spirit.

Play against Spirit? Unless you happen to be running a specific set of perks just flip a coin - heads you get away, tails you go on the hook. Boring.

Why she is hated - mind game potential is clearly on her side.

    No skill killer.

All you need are headphones and a pair of eyes to get ez kills.

  • spirit nerf was good enough, she's balanced now, but survivor bullies will tell you otherwise

I think she’s fine but I really like Otzdarva’s suggestion of having her husk flicker back and forth from where she started phasing and where she’s currently phasing every once in a while. It suits her lore wide and would add a real mind game to her.

Against spirit you should be able to DC without punishment.

Basic M1 killer. Easy to loop/mind game. Against green ranks she's a powerhouse (since most green ranks can't loop or rather mind game) but against red ranks who know what they're doing, she gets looped like a clown. I usually run spirits for a solid 45 seconds before I go down or they break the chase. The key is to not be predictable and to make her use as much of her power as possible in one set. Pretend you're going to stay on a loop and during mid-phase, walk away from the LOS of the loop and once you hear the heart beat again, run as far as possible, gain distance and waste her time as much as you can. Spirit is only really deadly in dead zones, since she can catch up to you quickly with her phasing vs other killers who can only walk.

Now Spirit with Devour, that's a different story. Unfortunately, as of late, 9/10 spirits I encounter on Xbox run NOED. So that ends up changing the game as well.

I don't think she is a bad killer and I love how strong she is but I strongly dislike going against her. Her phasing scares me every time and there's just something about her character that ruins the way I perceive her. I'm not a sore loser, I understand that I won't survive every match. However with Spirit I just feel like I will never survive against her, I don't know if it's the way I perceive her or if it's her power being too strong but I notice that I always seem to mess up when playing against her. Of course that's just my opinion but everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
