Do you think deathslinger is fine atm? I don't.
My 2 cents, but I'm open to any discussion ! (inevitable huntress comparison in SOME instances.)
-Small terror radius is good, coupled with M&A can be very effective
but the sound cue can ruin it. Might have been a good ultra-rare add-on idea to silence it.
-110% ? why ?
His basic combo is m1 followed by his power. Huntress can just hurl 2 good shots in half the time required. You still have to get the M1 in which can take quite some time. 110% makes sense for Huntress but not for him.
-Projectile? Really?
The insanely accurate projectile works quite well in your favor in restricted areas with limited visibility. That's where DS excels.
But out in the open ? It becomes a read. It's a projectile. Meaning that if you played some fps you know it's 50%
aim 50% read. Why isn't it a hitscan ? It's a bit faster that the huntress, sure, but the huntress makes up for it with a very good hitbox and the ability to launch multiple much quicker. After playing extensively these 2 back and forth both as them AND as a surv I can absolutely tell you DS is downright bad in these situations that survs will take advantage of. And again, the sound cueS do not help.
-Capped range makes no sense.
You will never be able to reel someone that is max range with no add-ons, you do it for the injury. Why can't I injure someone across the map? Why shouldn't I be rewarded for hitting a sick shot that won't even down someone ?
110% plus this means your gen pressure is terrible.
-You've hit your shot ! oh...nvm...
DS gets f..... hardcore by the environment, and aside from corn maps you rarely can't go 10 meters without any sort of obstacle that will stop your reeling. A pile of rocks, a tree the size of a toothpick...they will break your chain.
As a surv I can still jump down that house window or drop that pallet as the shot doesn't interrupt, and if I'm already injured ? Well you just wasted your precious time.
Bottom line : DS is absolutely D tier. He's got just enough time to shine in some areas that would make you forgot how terrible he is in all others.

He's bad, but fun. You need to be pixel perfect with the shots, and im sure there's plenty of dedicated server action going on with them as well.
Meanwhile huntress just lobs a hatchet in your general direction and gets a hit.
