Anyone else need to see an actual Doctor after just one game against The Doctor?
To start off...let me just say that I completely agree that Doc needed a buff, and I love the changes made to his power.
My sole issue with reworked Doc is that I can't play one game against him, without getting a pounding headache during the match, that lasts for a while after. I even have to take a break from the game until my head feels better.
I've tried to pinpoint what is causing this reaction, but my only plausible idea is the static at the sides of the screen. It's not difficult to snap out of it, but while the static is going crazy, my eyes have a hard time focusing on my surroundings and the skillchecks that pop up. (This isn't me complaining that it is too difficult. I'm just saying that it is hard on the eyes.)
The same goes for Clown's gas clouds now, too. I'm not sure if it's the change to the ambient colours in maps, or something else, but being inside the clown's gas clouds now force me to have to close my eyes...because it makes them water uncontrollably.
I love dbd, and I'm a survivor main who genuinely hopes everyone has a good time when they play. Face camp me, mori me off first hook, whatever. How you play is your business and I'll still respect you afterwards. I'm not here to tell the devs how to balance the game or asking for anything in particular.
I just want to play the game, that I love, without being in pain afterwards.
(p.s. These headaches don't occur any other time, other than during a match against a Doctor or Clown. Outside of the game, I have no history of frequent headaches or anything like that. Which is why I'm 95% sure that this is caused by something about those killers' effects).
Do you guys have any similar problems? Any other theories as to what causes yours?

There's definitely a few killers that aren't "strong" but are just obnoxious to fight.
Doctor is one with all the constant visual effects and screaming. Plague with the constant green everywhere and vomiting animations and noises. Clown it's hard to say since I never see Clown!

While i by myself have no problems with that, i can understand what you mean and i am sorry for that. Sadly there isnt really anything that could be changed without nerfing the Killers, which would be bad especially for the poor Clown.
Maybe it helps if you adjust your Brightness or Color Intesivity on your TV or even your sharpness. Idk i am not into that stuff.

They can reduce the static field around your screen when you are going to scream, this wont be a nerf for the doctor. I mean reducing not completely remove it.
However for the clown it would be a huge nerf.

Whilst I believe Doctor needed a buff, in light of the changes he really is a pain in the bum to play against. There's just too much going on, especially with his various add-ons. It is complete, pun intended, madness. The screen effects and constant screaming don't make for a positive experience as or against Doctor.
Static Blast is just a powerful skill. It's like BBQ&C on demand. This along with the way he can temporarily disable a survivor from vaulting/interacting make him a difficult adversary when used by an experienced player.
Speaking as someone who plays as Doctor, I think the following Doctor elements should be removed:
-Imaginary Doctors which are visable to The Doctor (The Static Blast is more than enough for locating Survivors).
-Random Screaming. Again, Static Blast is enough to locate Survivors. This is especially ridiculous when you scream as a downed Survivor. Survivors should only scream standing when tiering up or when hit with an electricity power.
Just my opinions.

Really appreciating everyone's thoughts on it!

I'd recommend adjusting visual settings , not much else can be done without needlessly tarnishing his motif

I have tried adjusting my brightness / gamma / etc, but I think the issue is linked to having to focus through the intense static for the skillchecks, while still looking around at the environment.
I can't seem to figure out exactly what they changed about the static, in the rework, but I'd happily go back to the previous static animation and the skill checks that bounce around / show up anywhere on screen, than deal with the headaches. :(
Doc is a viable red rank killer now, and I love that. I really do. I'm not saying he should be nerfed, just that a tweak may be needed if this is affecting a larger player base than just myself and a few others. :/

Hmm..are you sensitive to noise?

Actually, you may be onto something there!
I can sometimes be. Usually when I first wake up or if I'm tired.
I will try turning my volume down in future Doc games and see if that has any affect.
Thank you for the new angle! @immortalls96 <3

I tried to reply once but it deleted my comment for some reason.
I do have a sensitivity to some noises, sometimes. It's usually only when I'm tired / have just woken up, though.
I will try turning my volume down during my next few games against Docs and see if that has a positive effect!
Thank you for giving me another angle to explore, @immortalls96! <3

I don't mean to sound like a jerk but that honestly might be something you might want to personally look into. A lot of games I play, I can see why somebody might find something a little disorienting, like if the camera suddenly jerks in a game or something, but I don't think it's healthy for some of the complaints I see. I see people saying that they're getting massive headaches, or that it hurts their eyes a lot to look at something, or something to that effect.
Once again I promise you I'm not trying to just say "well sounds like a you problem" or anything. I know sometimes things in the game can simply be disorienting, but at a certain point it might be something to look into, ya know?

@Huff I didn't take it that way, don't worry! :)
I appreciate your concern and I have been closely monitoring when the headaches occur but, as I said in my post, it currently only happens during / after playing a match against Doc and Clown. Mostly Docs, though.
Doesnt matter if I've been playing for a while or just started up DBD and it's my first game of the day. I haven't played in a couple of days and had no headaches. :/
I will, of course, be seeing my irl doctor (and optician, in case it's a glasses thing) if they persist. :)
I just made this post, mostly, to ask others in the community if they have similar personal experiences.
Again, I greatly appreciate your concern and suggestion, and haven't taken it badly at all. It's very kind of you to take the time to give some advice. :)
