New Killer could be Candyman, and here's why
Now, just so its clear, I am not completely sure it'll be Candyman. This is just a guess and if I could be wrong.
But anyway, the reason I think it's Candyman is for these reasons
- Tony Todd is following DBD
- There is a new Candyman movie coming and would get its hype up
- One of the devs tweeted the next chapter would be 'sweet' with a candy emoji
- To most people, it would be classed as a 'iconic' horror character
- Leaks By Daylight have said 'Candyman may be the first killer to have a voice'
- Tony Todd has recently tweeted that he has done 2 voice recordings from home
And most of you are probably saying Candyman hasn't 'marked the world of horror since its inception'. But maybe its not talking about the movie or the franchise, maybe they're talking about the Candyman thing itself, saying his name has been around long before the movie, that's where they got the idea for it in the first place.
And those are my reasons. If its not Candyman, then my other guesses are Pennywise, Pinehead, Alien or Jack from the Shining. I'm not including Jason because the lawsuit is still going on and I don't believe they can just do something like 'ok, the lawsuit is over, lets release our Jason stuff!', it must or should take longer then that.
Like is said, I could be wrong, but I think it would be cool to get Candyman with Tony voicing him.

why do people still think alien would be in dbd? Aliens skills wouldn't fit in the dbd map. It.just can't contain an alien. Picture a xeno chasing you at 115 speed... also picture trying to pallet vault or window vault a xeno. It just doesn't work.

To Be honest I never was a fan of candyman. I’m hoping that it’s something more interesting and challenging . Don’t get me wrong I’m sure candyman would be interesting but I kind of feel he’d be to plain as a killer.

Jack would be dull AF dash attack killer at best.
Hitnts at candyman because the Bee tweets and the bee discord title leaks so he's ny guess
Pinhead would be my preference

...that's not Alien...just because they had a crossover, doesn't mean they're not different franchises. 😑

It's honestly pretty up in the air.
The skull on the picture is likely in reference to the logo so it probably has nothing do with the killer and for all we know the picture in it's entirety could have nothing to do with anything. Candyman does seem to be the safe bet right now and has the most backing. The tweet seems a little too on the nose IMO so it very well could just be a red herring or they're just being very obvious. Candyman also isn't that well known outside of America but I still think he is the most likely candidate.
IT is also possible since DBD started following King a while back. I don't think there are any clues though supporting it.
Jason would be cool but it'd be a miracle.
My personal preference is Pyramid Head as I just want a killer that is from a video game. The 4 logo is debatable and the guy who worked on Silent Hill mentioned he got a big deal recently but I don't think he owns Pyramid Head so it likely has nothing to do with DBD. Definitely a dark horse bet.
Pinhead is another big one but I don't think there are any clues backing him.
A Resident Evil killer would be neat as well but again, I don't think there is any real clues backing them.
Right now unless we get some more clues Candyman is the safe bet no doubt with the only things against him being, Scott saying it's not him, the tweet being way too obvious and Candyman not being super well as other popular choices.
