I've never played swf with the same group for longer than a day 😓

They Can Hold Out Well, But Mistakes Happen
SWF without voice chat are just solo survivors that happen to be in the same group.

They're Not Phased By Much, But Will End Up On A Hook Eventually
I’ve done this multiple times actually due to timezone differences meaning someone needs to be quiet (and sometimes I’m just not up to VC as well). It’s still stronger than solo queue imo because you know how they work. If they take a hit you generally know how they’re going to react and how much longer they’ll be up. You know they won’t leave you to die and won’t hook rush either. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s better than not knowing what you’re getting into and possibly making a mistake later on because you assumed the random was doing the most helpful thing and they weren’t. Even if your friends are potatoes you then KNOW they’re going to potato and act accordingly.

They Can Hold Out Well, But Mistakes Happen
In my experience both with and against teams like this, they're better than solos due to understanding each-others habits and playstyles.
