Why, as a killer, don't I know who my obsession is?
I mean it's my obsession. Why would I need to start someone chasing and then go "Oh I forgot you are my obsession, sorry dude!" because the only indicator is the symbol on the bottom left wiggling when you chase your obsession. This doesn't make any sense. I, as a killer, should instantly know when I spot someone if he/she is my obsession.
I shouldn't even have to think about names and character models. It's not my hidden crush, it's my obsession!

Because the obsession favor the survivor. The obly thing you get from an obsession i think is 1000 bp when you kill him

You do. When you enter a chase there's a pretty massive sound que and once you see them once you can remember who they are. Like if I ge tinto a chase with a Dwight and I hear the que and see it wiggling I just won't chase Dwight till I got like 7 stacks of STBFL, or about 2.
What, you want a large flashing sign going "I'M YOU'RE OBSESSION!! COME HERE AND MAKE OUT WITH ME DADDY TRAPPER" with neon arrows pointing to their exact location able to be seen across the map at all times or something?

Also the ability to use PWYF bubba and STBFL on everyone. That's a pretty massive good side.

lmao what?
@op If you care about knowing who your obsession is, remember the player names of all the survivors and then when it starts you can immediately assign the survivor to the obsession so you'll know when you see them.

You look at the player's name at the bottom of the screen that has the claws around it. Then click options for the match info to see which survivor that player is.
The only downside is if you have more than one of that survivor in the match then you'll just have to guess. Start a chase and see if the spikes start moving.

It's dumb that you need to do that instead of seeing it on the player model instantly...
1 -
You want the model to glow or something? It’s really not necessary and you can see who the obsession is easily enough.
3 -
Think of all the obsession perks... how many of them are about not chasing and/or killing the obsession? And how many ARE about chasing the obsession and killing them.
3 -
I mean, personally I wouldn't mind a sign asking to make out with trapper but I do feel like that's exclusive to me and not shared by the majority of survivors.

at start of match hit ESC, you can see the names and the character they are playing

What about the claws moving around the guy when chased, the high pitch sound indicating you found the obssesion and the "obsession found" event score?.
I mean we could put the guy a big flashing target once you spot him or neon lights flashing around him but I think it would be a bit of an overkill.

And indicator on the ground under the obession would be enough. So you get no visual advantage, but when the model is clearly visible you can spot the indicator on the ground under them.

Keep on playing and with time and obsession perk usage you will learn to check if you chasing the obsession.

But i never noticed the diferent sound cue...

Here's a small comparison.
Normal Chase
Obsession Chase

I think differentiating the sound cue more could help. Or adding a reasonable, limited, visual cue. Perhaps altering the color of their scratch marks, something like that...
It's especially hard for new players when people are playing the same survivors. And if's even worse for the disabled. I mean I'm partly deaf and have trouble distinguishing the chase cues. Tbh I've just avoided all obsession perks for that reason.
A more reliable way to determine who the obsession is wouldn't be a bad thing, idk.

OMG i never noticed this SFX was variable and happened only with the obsession!!! Tks
1 -
Just take a photo of the lobby so you see the names and the characters.

If you look in lower left you can see name of obsession, then if you click start (or pc equivalent) it will tell you what character that person is playing as. Sounds like a lot but only takes a few seconds.
That said it would be kind of cool if a red outline appeared around your obsession and the edges of your screen glowed red the first time you see your obsession, like your character sees them and gets PISSED

Yes, yes i do

You're telling me... that I've played this game for over 2000 hours and I'm just now learning that there's a different sound queue when chasing the obsession? Holy #########. I thought it was just random.
Learn something new everyday.

Why are you laughing, what hes saying is correct.
1 -
It's super difficult to tell the obsession sound que so I'll throw a hard agree there. I certainly never seem to notice the difference in the heat of the match. Shame how often I lose stbfl stacks on sneaky attacks where the chase doesn't start till after the hit lands as well. There should definitely be a better indicator.
2 -
I feel really dumb now for never noticibg the sound queue

to be fair if it isn't ever pointed out to you, you don't notice it. at least thats what im getting from the others on this post.
3 -
This game is really badly designed and dont give player any useful feedback about anything. Killers dont know who obsession is, you will dont know where pebble will make noise, you will dont know why killer found you, you will dont know what mysterious icons on screen do, you will dont know someone is using someone else abilities... Whatever. They should hire someone to clean this mess.
1 -
That's a good idea. Making the stretch marks light blue would be awesome.
2 -
I mean you can press pause look at which survivor is your obsession like say it’s Jake out of a Jake Claud Nea and Jane you know who not to go for
0 -
Start? What exactly does that show you? I don't think that's possible on PS4...

Alright so im kind of old, 37 to be exact. When i was growing up tgere was always 2 buttons in tge center of the controller. The left button is select, the right button is start. I still call them that and always will. Ps4 has these buttons
