Question about crossplay

So crossplay between most platforms got announced in this post: https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/breaking-barriers-with-cross-play-and-cross-progression, but I have just a single question about it, since Freddy isn't available on Switch/(I believe not there on Windows Store either), how will getting into lobbies with one work? Will there be data there so that Survivors can play against him but not as him? If it was made so that you can't get into lobbies with a Freddy, would you just be kicked out if the Killer switched to him while in the pre-match lobby?

If a dev could answer this it'd be greatly appreciated.

    On Windows PC since there's crossplay already there, you can still face the killer and survivor regardless. The perks icons are changed if they have licensed content on them and are base perks for that platform.

    There's nothing that prevents you from facing against them. You'll just never play them yourself.
