Is the grind still bad if you don't p3 every killer?

Understandably the grind is horrendous if you're trying to p3 every killer with all the perks, but is the grind that bad if you don't do that? For people who only level up a few killers, is the grind really bad?

Sorta not nearly as bad but it still takes forever to get every killer /survivor lv 40 there getting that person p3 lv 50 and beyond to get all perks

Well, not going for prestige 3 on every character is saving you about 4.500.000 bloodpoints per character.

I guess it's kinda manageable if you only level up a few characters.

But anything beyond that gets pretty grindy

The grind isn't that bad if you play killer most of the time since you get to play the full match and get quicker que times (for the most part). Just make sure to put on an offering for bloodpoints every match. There is no reason not to since as you level up a character you will never run out of these offerings.

I don't even P3. For me, I want all my Killers to have all the perks and then 2 or 3 Survivors with all perks. I've only gotten to P3 once for the achievements, and it really wasn't worth it

For me personally, I don't P3 survivor or killer unless I know I want the cosmetics on that particular character, and that's only been 2-3 characters across all of them, so the grind hasn't been bad at all.

I don't think the grind is too bad if you dont P3 everyone. I'm almost done with getting everyone to level 50 at ~500 hrs. I have P3 Nurse, Legion, Jane and Meg + P1 Feng.

The problem is that certain perks just pollute your bloodweb.

I always say the same thing to killers asking about the grind. Level up Leatherface first and unlock BBQ & Chilli. Then put some time into each killer till they all have at least BBQ and Chilli 2 if not 3.

Then go back and prestige/unlock your other perks on killers you want to play. This greatly lessens the grind.

I p3'd doc for the bloody lab coat but other than that I have no more prestige toons. Can't see the value in it. Especially now with every perk unlocked. Prestige shouldn't reset all your perks, I just don't see the point in it other than forcing you into a grind.

You should play because you feel like it not because you need to feed a completionism addiction.

    Kinda, if you're completely new.

If you regularly play for a while now and you have 1 or a few mains, it ain't terrible.

This is going to be long...

So how long does it take to Perk out a new survivor? While I have figured that it takes about 1.6 million to get to level 50. How many perks do you get for this. We are going to assume you get the maximum Perks per bloodweb and at the cheapest (unrealistic) cost. Levels 1-40 (1 perk per web) = 40 perks and levels 41-50 (2 perks per web) = 20 perks

So after spending about 1.6 million BP you will have a total of 60 perks out of the current 255 (each perk as 3 tier levels) perks that current exist. Now assuming you get two perks per bloodweb now, you still have to get 195 perks, meaning you need to go through at least 98 more blood webs. Note that its actually more than 98 as once you get down to only needed 3 perks you are likely to only get 1 or 2 perks per web.

But because I want to keep things simple, let's go with 97 more bloodwebs you have to complete. After doing some math, I realized that it usually cost me about 35-45k to complete a blood web. As I said I want to use the least amount of BP and the entity is on my side, lets say 35k perk Bloodweb. 97 Bloodwebs times 35k means you still have to spend 3,395,000 Blood point to perk out a survivor. This means to just perk out one survivor it would cost nearly 4,995,000 BP or 8,195,000 BP to P3 and Perk out a survivor.

So how long does it take to actually earn that much BP? While its a little harder to calculate this because it really depends on how much BP you earn per match. So lets start off with survivor:

    • Survivor: Lets say you earn roughly 20k BP per round and run WGLF and have 2 Stacks per game for an additional 10k BP. For a total of 30k BP per round. Now lets say you can play 4 games in 1 hour. That's an average of 120,000 BP per hour. So it would take you about 8.3 hours to earn 1,000,000 BP. So to perk out a survivor you are looking at roughly 41.5 hours or 66.4 hours to P3 Perk out a survivor.
    • Killer: Lets say you earn roughly 25k BP per round and run BBQ and get 4 stacks per game for an additional 25l. For a total of 50k BP per round. Now lets say you can play 4 games in 1 hour. That's an average of 200,000 BP per hour. So it would take you about 5 hours to earn 1,000,000 BP. So to perk out a survivor you are looking at roughly 25 hours or 40 hours to P3 Perk out a survivor.

Also this time extends with each new survivor because you essentially have to add 9 (3 perks each with 3 tiers) new perks to the game.

But it takes between 25 to 66 hours to perk out 1 survivor depending on what you play and if you want to P3 them or not.

Not prestiging saves you a decent amount of grind.

There are 78 killer perks in the game, so with all tiers that’s 234 perks to unlock via the bloodweb if you want all perks on a killer. And then you do that for every killer you enjoy.

Of course you don’t have to unlock every perk. You could just unlock the teachables you want, but then you do still have that particular killer’s perks as well as the base perks.

So I guess the grind is what you make it? You could just level up a few killers to get the perks you want and then level up your main, and the grind isn’t too terribly bad in that case. If you like to play multiple killers like me it’s still a pretty hefty grind though.

I'd say it's still pretty bad, because even though you may only have to get all perks on 1 survivor, killers have different powers and so you pretty much have to grind for all perks on all killers, which is excessive. I mean, you don't HAVE to, but I want access to all the perks I paid for, and feel a bit gipped if I can't pick the build I want.

The grind is really bad if you're trying to make all choices available to you at all times, but if you have a main killer or survivor or build you want to use, just focus on those teachables and that character and it's much easier.

Besides if later you decide you want to Prestige you have to start from scratch on that character...which isn't as bad if you use up all the add ons/items on that character first.
