Does the hatch open automatically when the survivor stay in a match for too long?

Because im patrolling the generator, the surv only need 1 more gen to open the exit. And i found no one for like 2-3 min. After that they found the hatch and run away, but at the end game result i found out that they don't equip a key.

So does the hatch open automatic when u staying in a game for too long?

    They may have found a key honestly.


    I'm pretty certain it doesn't automatically open outside of being last survivor

    Nope

    The Hatch opens only if someone unlocks it with a key or there is one survivor left.

    So someone must have found a key in a box at some point.

    The hatch opens when there is only one survivor in the match and it stays open indefinitely. When more survivors are alive and the hatch has spawned, if one of them opened the hatch with a key, it will stay open for 30 seconds before it closes automatically.

    In both cases, you can close it manually.

    It doesnt open when atleast two survivors are alive. They found 100% a key in a chest.
