3 Simple Changes to fix Slugging and Camping
These seem like normal things that could be implemented into the game. Can anyone see anything wrong with these fixes?
- Add an extra bar that takes longer to fill to get up off of the floor.(this would start to fill up after the first downed bar fills)
- No longer a timer till the next hook stage & Players can now unhook themselves and become broken for a duration(Ds would also not be triggered by this)(additionally if you manage to hook all survivors and no one decides to unhook themselves you win).
- Killers receive a warning that they will be disconnected from the match if they do not enter a chase or leave an area with a hooked survivor after X amount of time.
Being able to get yourself off the floor after an extended period of time than normal seems like it would stop people trying to slug everyone over the course of a match, but does not punish you for instantly being able to down all the survivors quickly if you are able to.
Being able to unhook yourself puts a lot more control into your safety and there is no time pressure on you dying so the killer is less inclined to stay around because they gain nothing from it
And lastly if killers decide to camp even while knowing all of this there would be a warning to leave the area. Unless of course your chasing a survivor that just happens to be near the hook.

you weren't here when they tried to test out similar ideas. Survivors abused it to the point the game was far more unplayable than its current condition.
You cannot fix slugging or camping because the people doing it lack the required IQ to do so.
Instead, fix match making. What the real issue is, waiting 10-15m as survivor only to get tunneled out/camped with 5 gens remaining. They need to fix QOL, since camping and tunneling are going to happen regardless of punishments.

So give every survivor no requirement Deliverance basekit. Yeah no.
Killers already have to fight an uphill battle to create pressure at the start of the game. Having survivors able to freely unhook themselves and not require teammates getting off gens to rescue them is a horrible idea.

I'm not trying to argue that this would make the game more balanced. balance can be fixed by doing a lot of other tweaks and changes. This is only trying to solve 2 problems without completely breaking the game.

Oh, so you're aware your solution is unbalanced, that's a start. So your idea is to ######### up killers over by giving survivors abilities that would normally require other survivors to do, to allow them to genrush even more and ######### up the already ######### up balance even more.
Entitled survivor main is entitled.

I don't actually play survivor very much but your just ignoring the fact that this wasn't for balance purposes at all, but more so as game mechanics that could reasonably be put into the game.

Oh I'm totally not ignoring that part, hence why I pointed out that you were aware your solution was unbalanced.
And, balance, as you probably already know, despite your unbalanced suggestion, is what they're trying to do with most updates, to make things not too strong for one side or the other. So yeah, if you add this much unbalance in favor of survivors, they need to add old ebony mori and instadowns as basekit for killers, to tip the unbalance on their side a bit too, cause you know.. it wouldn't be fair if survivors were the only ones with an unbalanced advantage.
Seriously, making suggestions you know are overpowered and unbalanced, and being serious about it.. I've seen it all
