Why don't Devs tell us what the PROGRAMMED benefit of Prestiging is?
Like, I'm pretty sure they've only hinted at it in the past. However, I'm now starting to believe that there really is no change to anything in the web after prestiging, and the fact they haven't told us means there really is nothing, and that it's a way to get more playtime out of players.

It's called "Grind"

Prestiging is almost purely cosmetic. You get the bloody outfits.
There is a very small increase to rare items in the web but we are talking like 4-5% increase at Prestige 3.
Do not prestige your character unless you want their bloody outfit.

They already said there's a slight increase to the rarity of items in the Bloodweb. Whether or not that's perceived as worthwhile depends on the exact percentage (unknown, as far as I know) and your understanding of statistics.

That's what I would like tbh. Just to know the percentage. As a completionist I'm probs gonna do it either way :/

I would just do it on characters you plan to play a lot, especially killers who have good addons.
Like it’s probably actually bad to prestige someone like demo because the increased rarity bloodwebs would in theory mean less rat livers.
But someone like Blight, Oni, Clown, Bubba, etc who all have lots of good addons it’s probably worth it if you are going to play them a lot. With BBQ you are usually cleaning out almost an entire bloodweb each game so it probably adds up a lot in the long run.
