So hello again guy's and this time I am back on another poll, and with this poll being on what your favorite Licensed Chapter is by...

Aesthetics.

Powers.

Who All Were Included.

Maps.

Balance.

Perks.

Music.

Addons.

How Iconic It Is.

The Impact That License Had On The Horror Genre.

The Impact They Had On Dead By Daylight.

And finally, How Good And Fun The Chapter Was In General.

So for me the obvious one I had to choose was Halloween, just because that without it, Dead By Daylight wouldn't have had much success, but look where we are at now.

As for Least Favorite, I would have to say Scream (Kinda), just because it isn't the one's from the films, and there wasn't any new map or survivor, But Dead By Daylight honestly did an extremely good job with making their own original Ghost Face.

So with all that out of the way, let's begin the poll.

A Nightmare on Elm Street is the absolute best, by a long shot. I bought the DLC together with the base game back in 2018 and I am really glad I did it.

As for my least favourite, I have to go with Scream. There isn't much about it other than Ghostface, who happens to be the killer I hate most.

@GeneralV Ya I kinda feel like The Nightmare on Elm Street Chapter is really underrated chapter, and what they were able to do with all they got for the License was absolutely incredible even though I can see why some people don't like it.

And to be honest I definitely don't dislike going against Ghost Face, It's just that he can very easily be taking out of his power, or hard depending on the situation.

But In general I usually Find Playing as and against licensed characters is really fun, not to say that the originals aren't fun, but Licensed characters is so cool to play as because of how cool that character and that franchise is.

Resident Evil is awesome and I love it and Its stupid and corny and thats what makes it cool.

I had the biggest smile on my face when I played the PTB and realized how good all the new content was and just the idea of being chased around by Nemesis made me happy.

Least Favorite would have to be a tie between Ash and Nightmare on Elm Street

Ash feels like he was implemented under rush, because most of his perks are unnecessary to the game, and the one that was good was so OP is was nerfed after everyone spent their money of the DLC.

Nightmare was implemented under rush initially, as the license was given to them while they were working on Leatherface's chapter, which is why his content was lacking too.

Freddy's power was bad, then it got obnoxious and way too powerful, then that got nerfed again and again until he's nothing more than an M1 killer everyone hates.

Quentin is, and always has been, bad, lack of outfit variety and awful perks.

Badham is notoriously hated by the community and has an unnecessary 5 maps.

I was initially so hopeful and it was bad to say the least.

@DwightFairfield Ya Resident Evil is definitely going to be an amazing chapter, but not only that but because of the Resident Evil chapter this is the first time ever that we see...

Leon and Jill team up. (Not counting Resident Evil Reverse.)

And we also see Left 4 Dead, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil, 3 of the biggest Horror gaming franchises of all time, collide into one game.

Just imagine seeing William "Bill" Overbeck, Cheryl Mason, Leon S. Kennedy, and Jill Valentine being chased down by Nemesis in Silent Hill's Midwich Elementary School, It's just so crazy that this became a reality.

@Pet_The_Lizards Ya Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 was my personal favorite, and leather face overall just seems like a killer that is fun to play as and to play against.

This was the first license that made me want to play this game from the beginning, it is my favorite for a long time followed by the Ghostface chapter, even though they say that Michael is Tier C, his addons are fun to use, they give him a noticeable change to his power making him unstoppable. I liked the map the first time it came out in 2016, now I just hope that when it is reworked, it will be the same as in your movies, a dark and creepy map as if it were an alley, I like the models a lot, but I would like to change the model facing Laurie and Michael's costume along with his mask, I like Michael's lore very much as he escapes from the asylum to return to his hometown to cause terror on Halloween night. Chase music, I like it a lot, but I prefer the previous one, this one does not cause so much temptation but I just hope that if they rework Michael, they give him a little more feeling of fear to listen to it. and Iconico I can say that it is super and the first time I saw it, I did not believe it, to think that Michael would never have or would be in a game but here we are, Many Slashers and the newcomer Nemesis, it is a last chapter, just I hope they continue to amaze us and that the old dbd touch continues to the end.

The chapter I least like would be the Nightmare on Elm street ... I mean, if it were the classic Freddy, it would be my 2nd favorite, but the one in the remake disgusts me just by seeing it.

@Jarol Ya if we were to get Classic Freddy then that would have been a dream come true, And I definitely with you on the Halloween chapter.

I mean, I like the chapter, I like the map, the power of Freddy and Quentin, only that Freddy's model is nothing like Robert Englund, I think this shows that the licensees are too demanding with what they offer you, " I give you this, * They give you the worst version of a character *, take it or leave it "That explains the reasons why we do not get a legendary skin of the much loved Robert Englund or a Quentin skin with other styles like Punk or High School. The same if we had freddy skins, it would be painful to see, it almost always looks the same, unless you want to add a little humor and give us Cheff Freddy or Super Freddy. or Freddy dressed as a baseball coach.

I had a hard time picking between Silent Hill and Resident Evil, But I'm going to go with Resident Evil as my favorite.

My least favorite would be the Evil Dead chapter.

Stranger Things: Demogorgon, Steve Harrington, Nancy Wheeler, And Hawkins National Laboratory

I had a hard time between Stranger Things and Resident Evil, but decided to go with ST just because RE is not finalized and (theoretically) could become a bad chapter when it goes live.

Stranger Things might not have the most impact on the horror genre, but it certainly had a huge effect on Dead by Daylight. Most obviously, it was the first (and one of only 2) chapter to bring 2 survivors, Nancy and Steve. I always said and probably will continue say that Steve has the worst set of perks in the entire game, but it's still a miracle he's here and that is worth celebrating. Nancy came with one of my favorite perks in the entire game Fixated (only being second to my true love Spine Chill). Demogorgon is a really fun killer that I'd love to play if I could get good with him.

Also, the chapter meant a lot to Licensed DLC cosmetics, as Steve and Nancy have the most amount of licensed paid cosmetics in the game (I know Cheryl, but I said cosmetics not outfits, Steve and Nancy have 13 cosmetics each while Cheryl only has 12, hahahahahahahahahagagagagagaga).

Finally, the map is cool to look at.

Least favorite has got to be Nightmare on Elm Street, nothing against the Nightmare on Elm Street series, but the representation here was dirty. It was so rushed and bad, not even having the original license over the remake would've saved it.

Saw: Amanda Young, David "Detective" Tapp, And Gideon Meat Plant

My only reasoning for thinking SAW is the best is because I am a huge SAW fan and it was the license that brought me into dbd. Although I do love all licenses in the game regardless of strength, I'd have to say my least favorite license is Evil Dead because it's just not that memorable in the game. No one really plays Ash and his perks are all garbage so he's easy to forget out of all the licenses, not to mention he's a paragraph so there wasn't a killer or map along side him.

My top three favs are probably the Resident Evil chapter, the Stranger Things one and then Silent Hill.

My least fav would have to go to Saw. Never cared about the franchise(still don't) and while Pig can be fun to play, I still just don't really feel the want to play her. Saw is just the most "meh" I've ever felt over a licensed chapter.

    Scream (Kinda): Ghost Face

Everybody's got their ultimate license, the one slasher villain, horror movie, show, game, etc. they prize above all others. I know some people went mad nuts when Michael Myers came as the first license to DBD way back when, or much more recently with Resident Evil.

Scream was my ultimate license- the one that I had been pushing for to get into the game in any way, shape, form or fashion, all the way back in 2016. There was nothing I wanted more than to see Ghostface stealthily gutting survivors in the fog like fish.

I will admit, like many others, I was slightly disappointed when he didn't come with a map or a survivor counterpart: because the devs believed that the image of the iconic mask was more important than the story behind it. I for one agree with them.

And I was so damn happy when Ghostface made it in: a spectacular adaptation of the original character, updated with a more urban and modern aesthetic, but with the same core themes of obsession and paranoia that were present in the films.

Too boot, even from his first PTB what we saw in Ghostface was a viable killer, without question the most powerful stealth killer, and absolutely spitting in the faces of every snob who said Ghostface wouldn't make it in for one stupid reason or another. Also some pretty decent perks, unlike a few unfortunate licenses like Ash Williams who got the short end of the stick. Ghostface's Corrupt Intervention is easily his best, a great slowdown and information giving perk, and one of my personal favorite perks out of the entire pool for killers, I'm All Ears can be surprisingly effective on certain killers and is actually a decent pick, and though Furtive Chase isn't great, it's undoubtedly one of the more unique perks out there.

Ghostface also has the best and most lucrative licensing relationship out of any single license in DBD- Proof of this being in the number of cosmetics he has. Having the most cosmetics out of any individual licensed character, and the ONLY licensed character to be directly involved in DBD's original lore and having a blighted cosmetic. Still waiting on Scarecrow Ghostface.

There are so many things to be happy about Ghostface, I can go on and on, I really am not all that sad he didn't come with a map or survivor. (Although there are rumors that maybe the devs will perhaps consider getting a separate Scream licensed chapter, with the survivor and map? Who knows.)

As for least favorite- I guess I'd have to say the SAW: Chapter? Saw is a great license to have and is fairly iconic as far as horror goes- I just feel like they got the short end of the stick during negotiations. Both Detective Tapp and Amanda Young are some lackluster picks in terms of the overall franchise, and aside from Surveillance (which is absolutely amazing but had to be reworked to be good), none of the perks that came with that chapter are all that outstanding either. The map itself is decent for a Ghostface main like myself (thus I actually do enjoy most indoor maps) but aside from that I'm not the biggest fan of it gameplay wise, looks great though.

I think this is a more fair criticism than just saying "Eh, this license didn't have a survivor or a killer or a map and I didn't like it because of the lack of content".

I chose this mainly because the Demogorgon is my favourite licensed killer to play. Plus that DLC brought us Surge, which is among my favourite killer perks and is a staple in my M1 killers' builds, and as a bonus Fixated and Inner Strenght, which are fun perks to use.

Silent Hill: Pyramid Head, Cheryl Mason, And Midwich Elementary School

Silent Hill was my dream license, so am very glad it came out with a strong killer and Cheryl with also decent perks. The map was beautiful aesthetically (even if awkward in terms of gameplay) and it just was very nostalgic to remember those early games and the thrill I got from them when I first discovered Silent Hill.

Ghost Face was my least favourite, mainly because of the lack of anything other than a killer (a paragraph, dressed up as a chapter), and was disappointed Sydney Prescott didn't make it (big Neve Campbell fan here).

Oof, this poll is confusing. I voted ST because it's by far my least favorite licensed chapter. I wasn't interested when it was announced and at this point they could still delete the entire chapter and I wouldn't mind at all. Ghostface is a distant but solid second least fave.

My favorite would probably be Halloween.

Stranger Things has done way more for the game than Resident Evil has, so, although I like RE a bit more, Stranger Things is the best chapter.

Evil Dead Paragraph is the worst because it's only a survivor.
