Why don't killers get full points for hatch escape?
So I think it's safe to say that the hatch is a pretty BS mechanic, but at the same time a necessary one since survivors will otherwise urban evade around the made when they're the last one until the killer DC's. My only question is why do killers get robbed out of their bloodpoints for it? I mean, the survivor would not escape at that point realistically. They're only escaping so that matches can be kept short. I'm fine with them receiving bloodpoints for escaping with hatch. In fact, it makes the match more exciting since theres a lot of tension when looking for hatch. Just give me the bloodpoints that I would get for sacrificing them since they realistically would not escape otherwise.

I highly doubt you always get a 4k despite the hatch. Anyway, giving people points for things they didn't do is not the way to fix the hatch mechanic.

This this this this... granted I still would like something to prevent two survivors from hiding/urbaning/locker hoping for 30+ minutes to get the hatch or make one DC.

The killer can very, very easily slug for the 4k, and the survivor is getting rewarded for failure.

I had a game that lasted like 20 minutes because of this lol. I didn't even think about this but if there weren't any more 20 minute games after waiting 10 minutes in queue this would be awesome.

And how is that? If the last person didn't have a hatch, they would have to try and pressure the gens ALONE. This is why back then survivors would hide around the edges of the map since hatch didn't spawn unless they had at least 2 gens done. The developers added EGC and this new hatch mechanic for the purpose of stopping these hour long games and even longer hatch standoffs.
