Open Hatches with a key isnt instant anymore, now it takes time to unlock, ######### when did it change
Just played against a Ghostface, last man, everyone dead... found hatch, had a purple key, went to open hatch, it started going thorugh a state to charge the key to unlock hatch, I died..
Didnt even realise this had changed?

the hatch was changed to only spawn when thereโs one survivor left. If the killer kicks it shut, you can still open it with a key which takes 2.5 seconds.

It changed with the current patch that added Mikaela and the boons. That is to say, shortly before Halloween.
As Nathan13 said, the hatch now only spawns when there's only one survivor remaining. This means keys are only useful for reopening the hatch after a killer's kicked it shut. No more 3-man escapes after 3-genning yourselves.

Was that the latest update.. certainly in the next month because last time I tried hatch it insta opened..
Yet another change aimed at appeasing the whiney killers I guess, getting all kinds of ridulous tbh, whats next, 1 hook kills, start injured.. :/

Just reread, so we cant also get the 2 survivors escape when 1 gen is left either..
Each of these changes makes me start to play this game less and less each week which is sad considering the hours ive put in since Day1 release.

Oh no, you can't get super cheap multiple person escapes without doing your objective any more. And you can't stand on top of the hatch teabagging until the killer is right on top of you.

The key opening, etc. is not really the big deal. What was the big deal and finaly good change was that hatch is now only for one person. Great change!

This man casually ignoring the fact Spirit was gutted, Dead Hard got a hit validation buff, Deathslinger got an unnecessary nerf, need I go on?

Deathslinger needs a buff not a nerf, What did they change with Spirit, I need to revisit the update notes and DEAD HARD is just a absolute garbage perk, with Killers getting the cream of the updates constantly I have no inclination to wanna keep throwing 100s of hours a week into this.
The changes are making Back 4 Blood look like fun..

Spirit now has directional phase audio if within 24m of her, and no more stand-still mindgames (you get the phase sound in the terror radius).
Also survivors have boon totem perks now, one of which is super busted. So yeah.

Keys are useless now. I don't know why they are even in the game now.

I see an ebony mori every 10-15 matches or so. I've seen a survivor bring a key 3 times in 250+ matches.
That being said, I think the hatch change was a good. The green key, however, should be changed to something completely different that is only focused on aura reading.

As far as old moris go. I admit they needed to be changed but the way they went about it feels wrong. Old moris you were pretty much assured the first person hooked would get tunneled and eliminated. Now moris just feel like a fatality in mortal kombat. Cool at first but a big waste of time.

well, you can facecamp a surv to ensure at least 1k, but survs canโt do anything to 100% get 1 escape

They are because the animation time gives survivors time to do gens

I agree with you @EvilJoshy and @VikingDragonXii . Every time I do a mori i'm like "C'mon! C'mon! C'mon! I got people to chase and kill!" and then some other survivor walks up, teabags, and then has time to make distance to a safe loop. ๐

Well if Gen Rushing wasn't a problem I would do Moris more often because I like them, but right now you might be assured 2k when you could get 3 or 4k

The change came when Hatch and Keys were properly balanced

Thatโs not an acceptable thing to say at all. Keys were stupid deserved the nerf because they ended games quicker than they should have without anything the killer can do. Moris deserved the nerf too.

I still think they shouldnt put both nerfs.
Either only last survivor gets hatch and no key CD
or a big KEY use but multiple can go trough.
The last survivor mostly doenst get the hatch, only when he finds a key in a chest. Otherwise the killers knows.
You dont hear a closed hatch also the endgame timer still comes up, when closing the hatch. Which is still overkill for only 1 survivor.

I mean the timer isnt that long based off the fact you need to find it first I think its fine where it is, completely ######### useless, just like the moris :D

For aura, so weak survivors could use them. Good ones don't need keys, they can loop long enough without it.
