I love how all the pinhead was using their addons today lol
Honestly havent seen this many since the first day of his release which he died of pretty easy.
Now I play at a high mmr so i hardly see most killers, pinhead however was like the 7th most common to see (which i love him) and they always used the fang but never really did that great.
However today was consecutive pinhead matches all using his strongest addons before the nerf 🤣 I think 1 got a 3k while most others got 1-2k at best.
Honestly gave me a chuckle they're rushing to use the stuff before he becomes unplayable at the higher levels lol.
Imagine a high skill killer that has a questionable antiloop getting nerfed. Theres no hope for you killers nowadays 😂

The funny thing is that Engineers Fang is still probably his strongest add-on even after the nerf it’s getting. The ability to easily injure at range and through obstacles and walls is pretty impressive, way better than a normal first hook, even if the follow up hooks are a little lackluster. Yeah it’ll be weaker than it is now but if you’re still playing him after the patch it’s still likely the best bet for an add-on slot.

The night before her nerf I played against a ruin/pop/corrupt/undying spirit with father’s glasses and MDR.

How is this any different than people bringing 4 keys every match before it's nerf?
4 tool boxes before the BNPs nerf?

I dunno, I don't think engineer's fang will be worth using after it's nerf to be honest. Get a first hit out of it? Sure sounds nice but the downside to it is pretty massive with one less chain to hook onto someone. We already know how easy it can be for survivors to remove chains and having one less makes it's all the more easier for them to break free from them and a lot less worthwhile trying to use his power to actually slow people down.

Nobody who uses the add-on now has any problem with it despite the fact it has zero chains on healthy people. What add-on are you thinking of using besides the Fang if you have it available?

Pinhead's power works similiar to nurse's power. So if you're good at gateway chains with him, then you're wasting your potential on a killer that is very lowely rewarded, even with Engineers Fang

Yep - exactly. He is OP against solo Q because either nobody is getting the box or everybody is going for the box and not doing gens. His mechanics expose the giant imbalance between solo and SWF because of how powerful communication is for survivors

To be fair.for me all killers should be designed like Pinhead, quite weak in chase but has a powerful build in passive power that can slowdown.
And give Solo communication to make them equal to swf.
Long chase makes survivors fun. Long objective makes killers fun.

As others have said, his only actually problematic addon (Engineer's Fang) barely got nerfed, which means that the Cenobite nerfs (and the Wraith nerfs) are the clearest indication that BHVR are balancing this game based around low MMR kill rates, intermediate/high MMR viability and enjoyment be damned.
Fang is still going to be very strong. With it, he'll still be annoying to face. Without it, he's going to be awful.
At my MMR (which I'm guessing is intermediate, possibly high-intermediate) even solo survivors know how to handle the box for the most part. The only way I was able to really challenge decent SWFs, however, was either using 'faster hunt' addons or 'slower solving' addons. Without these, he's going to be another comfortably 'B' tier killer nerfed to 'C' tier.
And that's very, very frustrating.

Which brings up another problem why the ######### did they even make the MMR to balance around high ranks in the first place? It’s clear at high MMR pinhead is not strong and yet there still balancing for low level players so the MMR is entirely pointless
