Here's An Idea.
Why don't we keep the PTB open all year and just test out random nerf's and buff's? It is kind of baffling that the only time we get access to it is when their is finalized builds. I feel like BHVR is wasting one of their most valuable assets for a once in a month trial run.
Is there something I'm missing as to why they can't?

I’d rather them do dev workshops (a la Warframe), where they propose volatile concepts/changes and gauge response before placing them in a PTB. Instead of being hush hush and having to maintain an actively changing dev branch in tandem (which might then be more prone to leaks).

I assume it a logistical thing where they have to push patches to the PTB and it take coordination to pull all the pieces together. It probably makes more sense from a time efficiency standpoint to push out a bunch of little changes in a single patch than to push out a couple of little changes every day or two.

I just feel like their squandering a golden opportunity to actually see what changes could work in a faster way over this cautious slow roll they have.

I think if the PTB was more of a playground for testing things with the community in a more direct manner so that the community would be in on the testing itself, seeing and experiencing them and offering feedback underway while also keeping the pre-release patch testing would improve the gap between the devs and the community, which could result in a far better Dead By Daylight which means everyone wins.

Cheers, It's baffling that BHVR is sleeping on the best PR nugget ever.

I agree with you.
