Wraith is very straight forward.

Same answer I was about to give, his power has the easiest pick up and play potential in the game and I mean even a new player can pick him up and do well after a few games but that all changes as you gain more experience and that's why killers like wraith exist is to get a new player into the game and once they get the hang of it they can move on to a harder killer to master with more potential.

For me, it is easily Wraith or Clown. They both are just very straightforward in how they play, and their skill floor to skill ceiling is not very big

maybe Legion. Freddys got a teleport and tomato sauce that he can spill, but that power requires at least 1% of brain function.
legion can stab and just know where people are. very easy to turn your brain off with legion.

Clown takes a ridiculous amount of skill imo. If you just mindlessly toss purple bottles at people as you are chasing them sure he's straightforward. But using trick shots to cut off loops in advance and combining the two bottles effectively is very hard and requires a lot of map knowledge.

Wraith or Legion.
Trapper is easy to understand and pick up too, but it’s not as easy to play him well.

Easily Wraith. When I started playing the game Wraith was my first ever main, he's so hard to try to make effective nowadays but he'll always hold a place in my heart when I think of playing him.

I would not say using both bottles effectively is very hard. Purple one side, yellow on your side, and then you get a hit at most spots (unless the survivor knows how to predrop). There is also not a huge amount of trickshots like there is with any other projectile killer. Again, there is definitely little things that can be learned with clown and wraith, but they do not have a wide array of techs at their disposable.

I suggest an alternative to deleting Freddy: fixing Freddy :)

You know you can straight up lob them over huge loops right? Like longwalls / jungle gyms / shack / etc? Those are very hard to actually land correctly and feel godly when you do. There's plenty of tiny holes in the geometry you can throw the bottles through to stop a loop faster. Mid-chase you might need to smash a bottle on a small tree or similar to get a larger gas spread, etc etc.
Artillery bombing someone as clown requires you to predict their position like 5 seconds in advance as well as throw it at the exact right time.
I find it much harder to do consistently than say, landing an M2 as Pyramid Head or landing a blink as Nurse. Or even landing a chain as Pinhead. All of those you only really need to know the survivors location at that exact moment in time.

I think Trapper is probably the easiest to play so long as you have at least some game knowledge and common sense to place traps smartly. Unfortunately he is also pretty weak so matches can end up being pretty depressing

Huntress.
Her power is a ranged attack, if you've played almost any other first person perspective game, you'll quickly understand how it works. One button to axe people up close, other one to throw for range. Reloading is easy as well, as the lockers are highlighted on the map (which also helps new killers check lockers and find survivors)

Legion you play legion for 10 minutes you know how to play legion

yeah tbh old freddy was actually cool but then they made him the most uninspired braindead boring killer ever conceived

Yes but they aren't ever extremely impactful, and it sometimes is just making clown harder than he needs to be. It also isn't hard to predict a location 5 seconds in advance especially when all it gives is a small hindrance. Landing a perfect blink as nurse is not only harder, but also rewards you more as it is an instant injure, same as a m2 as pyramid head, and trying to land a long distance chain as a pinhead to interrupt something will always be harder and more rewarding as well. They all require on the spot mindgame skill and prediction at the current tile or loop which is always more of a 50/50 or harder to predict then simply throwing a slowdown where the survivor will noticeably go.
Herding survivors where you need them as clown is a very basic skill and while you CAN learn little bottle techniques, they aren't always applicable and they sometimes are fairly unnecessary

Wraith is the perfect starter package. His power has potential, but it's extremely straightforward and easy to get used to.

I'll toss in Hillbilly. While not necessarily easy in terms of getting chainsaw downs (I find it a bit unwieldy myself), you can still get some value out of using Chainsaw Sprints to traverse the maps.

I think Leatherface is the easiest licensed killer. Catch them in a good spot, chainsaw. Want to create more ops for it, bamboozle. Original I'd say Legion. Press button, run fast for easy first hit, then decide to pursue first target or try to find a new one.

Legion.
Run fast and stab fast

It's probably Clown. His power is very simple: throw purple bottle to slow people down, throw yellow bottle to speed yourself up, and dont forget to reload, which you can do anywhere at any time. That's about as simple as it gets.
