The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

So who's next for an update?

What killer now needs the most looking after (INb4 Ghostface).

I personally think we're currently down to Pig and Sadako at this point. The only way they could buff Trapper past what they gave us is simply a way they don't want to (I E. Giving him more/all traps at base, personally I say he should always start with 3).

Sadako plays with virtually no power outside of her TP, her own basekit betrays every decent mechanic she has, and unless you bring a very specific kit/build and play in a way that is both fairly unreliable and unsatisfying, while simultaneously aggravating for the other side (not that that should necessarily take precedent) she's essentially Demogorgon without lunge. She has absolutely no way to end a chase early or address the strongest loops in game, and if survivors chose to take her power away, she can't effectively spread damage/control.

Now if she gets a good early game going with a slug and catches survivors at TV's early, she can get a decent amount of pressure going on unfocused teams, but if you catch them near a window or a strong loop, you might as well give up that chase and pray the other survivors haven't figured out who you are, because that early game is literally the difference between instant win and loss against good survivors.

Pig on the other hand, has a fairly effective kit, pressure she can apply at her will, but is dependent on the survivors action. Her kill mechanic is undeniably more impactful than Sadako's at base, but her problem is essentially the same as her: she doesn't have a great chase. I'd say her crouch ability can be better stealth than Sadako's on certain maps, but it comes at the cost of speed, and often she won't be able to use it effectively unless she's already in the range in which survivors can hear her.

Because of this, her early game can be said to be more difficult. She at the very least can use perks like whispers to make up for this, but her only form of attack out of crouch, a lunge attack, is a messy, loud attack that is made not to catch anyone off guard. It's much better to approach with crouch, then strike normally, but the un-crouch animation takes long enough that by the time you can respond with an attack, the survivor may have already gotten enough distance for some form of safety. We've all had those moments at lery's where we approach the survivor from behind the corner near the office gen, just for them to make the window and us a second behind, only to have to go around or jump the window and waste time.

And that belies the issue with her secondary power - her time building mechanic. She has to end a chase, put a headtrap on a survivor (hoping the two gens didn't pop before she was able to put it on) then hook said survivor and go find and chase another survivor in time to down them before another gen is completed and, preferably, before the other survivor has a chance to take their trap off.

In a perfect world, this would be fine, as it would be building her plenty of time, as well as threatening survivors who try to be bold with her traps, especially on certain maps, but because most survivors will just rush gens after they see the first trap get put on, you end up not getting much value, because they don't really need to fear you since you can't really end chases very quickly.

With certain perks and add ONS, she can be fairly oppressive in some ways, but not necessarily strong overall, and her most annoying build will maybe net you a 2k for using it.

Otherwise, she to me is worse than Trapper. Well placed traps on most maps are always stronger than her mechanic, you can end games with certain luck, trap placement knowledge, and straight up camping. Pig could never be that oppressive on any map.

(and for the record, I don't necessarily feel that way about Sadako, she may go about even with trapper).

TLDR; Who do you think is next in need of a rework?

Pig, Trapper and Sadako need a lot of help. However they already said Twins was next.

For me Myers is the most in need to changes. His basekit is probably the weakest in the game.

There is quite a few killers who need add-on passes. Freddy and Pyramid Head to be precise.

I completely forgot about Freddy because he's so off my radar now-a-days... Lol I am one of the people who wish he could return to selectively putting people to sleep, maybe without the gen speed reduction but hindered and heal speeds reduced. Also he should get way more traps/fake pallets, and he should always have access to both.

I agree with almost everything in that list tho.

I'm actually scared and excited to see what happens to the twins, I still play them a fair bit

I really enjoy Myers with only two builds, and one is highly unfavored by most players. I definitely want to see him buffed as well, but I don't know what they'd be willing to do for him

Given that Huntress got her menu music seemingly randomly, I don’t think she needs a dedicated update for that opportunity.

Remove tier 1 for a start. Otherwise I'm not sure what they can do but something is needed.

They announced Twins was next, but besides that:

Trapper, clown, and ghostface need more changes.

Myers and pig could use updates as well.

Sadako needs some more help. She’s miles better than she was on her ptb but it wasn’t enough.

Freddy, and I hate to say it, probably needs another rework.

    PH needs an addon pass.

Blight and nurse need their addons toned down (and a lot of nurse’s are also terrible and should be reworked). Nurse might need a base change or two as well; blight I think will be fine with only addon changes.

    Might be forgetting about someone.

Sadako hasn't had her full balance pass yet so we'll probably see that this summer.

I'm actually a big fan of them giving every killer their lobby music. I love how so many of them fit the theme of the killers so well!

Artists music is amazing because it sounds like it is directly inspired from a 1960's horror score (such as the birds) and feels so fitting to her character as well.

But my favorite is Blights music. It sounds so tragic, given his backstory it feels so appropriate. It also feels like a hint to a the romantic era classical style, a reference to Bram Stoker's Dracula. Amazing!

The fact you could name that many and worry you forgot someone 🥴 lol game needs a little help obviously I was being generous in my call-outs. But I'm sure one way or another we'll get changes.... Can't wait to see what they do to twins lol.

One could only hope, I still enjoy playing her and anything to smooth her out will be very appreciated

I understand the cynicism, especially given the penchant to make killers ever so worse every couple of pass overs, but I really can do nothing but pray they make good decisions with this change, after seeing the more positive response to something like say, legion, vs. the almost no response to say, someone like Ghost Face.

Twins need massive QoL changes. It's going to he interesting, because they'll be S tier if they're fun to play. No way to make them fun to use without being ridiculously strong unless the kit is reworked entirely.

Sadako is in a weird spot. She's not as bad as she's made out to be, but she doesn't have any definitive qualities that win her games. She's super short. Her lunge is deceptive. The passive phasing can be good once you understand how to use it at tiles. But it's all complementary stuff. The mobility is good but the condemned mechanic might as well not be there given how it's tuned.

I feel like Myers and Hag have remained the same for too long, they sure could have some tweaks on power and addons to make them better to the current game state (both as buffs and nerfs on some aspects).

Pyramid could get an addon pass and Freddy absolutely need one.

the ammount of Blight's addons that could/should be nerfed is ridiculous and some people seem to agree that Nurse could have some nerfed as well (I don't have enough experience against/as her to say though).

Sadako deserves some love in the form of buffs as well imo.

I actually don't see hag doing too horribly as she's always had a decent trap hit n run hybrid style, but some levels are a pain for her. I think she's in a goo enough spot where she could forgot a pass on the immediate future, but she could possibly use another add on pass.

I don't think Blight or nurse need any drastic nerfs, but add on changes are sure to come, as Nurse basically doesn't need the most complained about ones, and blight has a maybe two problematic add ONS, but one for sure is getting booted.

After Twins I would like to see buffs / reworks to any D tier killer or low C tier at least (Shape, Pig, Sadako, Trapper, etc.)

I would like Myers to be next however all I would really change about him are these 2 things.

He gains stalk faster from further away, slower closer he is to the survivors. I mean how often did he stalk laurie from 2 foot away?

For every generator completed, or survivor hooked, whichever works best, the survivors get a percentage of stalk back. How can you run out of looking at someone? Does he go shortsighted after a while?

Yeah I like Sadako quite a bit, I think she's actually maybe slightly better than Wraith personally and I definitely think she's more fun to play. I certainly wouldn't turn down a buff for her but I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't get a major buff, they might tweak her Condemned or TV refresh timers or maybe get rid of her lullaby if she actually statistically looks like she needs a buff, but I'm guessing she's probably mostly ok as is. (I'm not saying she's top tier but she's one of the better stealth killers.)

Twins was announced to get the next changes.

There either going to completely change there unique power.

    or nerf them again somehow

Maybe, maybe not, I doubt they get an extreme overhaul of their mechanic, as in it still not involving controlling either Charlotte or Victor. I just hope what's done isn't as simple as "Victor does when near hook for x seconds" and a few add on buffs to compensate.

BHVR has a habit of nerfing twins for no reason. and a lot of times indirectly

ngl, I also can't think of anything "wrong" about Hag at all, still surprises me how she remains untouched for so long. I hope that if they do indeed check her sometime in the future they don't take away the variety of addons she has that give her different playstyles since that's a thing I really enjoy about her

Twins are next, but beyond that? Freddy needs another overhaul, because his last one was terrible. The end result is quite probably the most forgettable killer in DBD. Nothing about him feels like playing Freddy Kreuger, his addons are unanimously useless, and his kit is just an underwhelming mishmash of things that other killers do a much better job of. For a time, he was boring but strong; now he's just boring period. I suspect they don't want to touch him anymore, but ugh, he needs it. It drives me crazy because there's so many cool immersive things they could do with the Dream World that they just... didn't.

Pig and Myers are probably next up on that list. Pig suffers from a bad chasing power, clunky and slow stealth that hinders its usage, and heavy reliance on RNG, and some elements of these need to be tweaked in her favor. And Myers just got power crept from when he was released; he fares badly with the current speed of games and just generally doesn't have anything to help him catch people. That said, his kit is the opposite of Freddy's; he feels incredibly faithful to Halloween and I really wouldn't want him to lose that. Myers is one of my favorite killers to face because he creates genuinely spooky games... when he doesn't get looped for seven years and gets his first down at one gen left.

I agree with Freddy. He absolutely feels baseless at this point, and considering everything he could have had, I never would have thought the most sleep worthy quality about him is his kit 😴.

I also don't think Myers should get a full in overhaul, but to be quite honest, I'm falling in love with a specific build on Ghost face, and I actually think he feels way better to play right now. Myers might just need an extra something to his kit, someone suggested starting in the equivalent of level 2 by default, but I wonder what benefit they could give him beyond just buffing his initial move speed.
