I thought they capped Oni etc. To 90° turns during their power?

Title.

I'm still seeing players go far beyond the 90°. While its vastly more common on blight iv been seeing a few onis do it too.

I personally cant recreate this am I missing something? Is it just PC sensitivity? While I dont need this to win as oni etc. Itd sure make games much easier

Side note: I know you can run and slide off objects as both killers so I can get that 90° flick after but this causes you to slow a little as oni as you're dashing into the wall but the onis I'm seeing aren't doing that

I think if your dpi is high enough you can go past the turn limit.

It’s capped, but same with blights z flick, J flick exploits(these 2 are fixed) you can surpass it the same way.

On console it's capped to 90° turns only.

but on PC yes you can easily do 180°turns and more with high DPI.

Hope BHVR doesn't change anything about Oni's flicks it requires mechanical skills and practice don't want him to get nerfed for no reasons.

180 degree Oni flicks are still in the game, and they are super easy to do. Just flick your mouse across the table. I don't know why it was important to get rid of Blight's 180 degree flicks, but Oni can still easily do them without needing to object slide.

Hows it skill if its limited to certain systems? I'm very skilled but because I'm on console I cant do it?

They should either remove it completely or allow all platforms to do it..

Oni’s flicks are intended to be capped to 90°, but they’ve been bugged for years, which is why only PC can do it via higher DPI.

Blight is not DPI-dependent and can be done on both low and high DPI, which is why it works on both console and PC. Blight has a maximum of 90° turn in a single frame by default (before add-ons). The way Blight goes past 90° is by one of the two following methods, both of which are intentionally created as mechanics:

    1. Pre-turn 90 while Rushing and sliding (note: You do not need to use hug tech to slide. Hug tech is unintentional but sliding mechanics are intentional: https://www.twitch.tv/mclean_yep/clip/SullenProductiveAlmondPastaThat-3gIl_qyQ2UAmaqun ). Then, flick 90. Since you "already" turned 90° in the slide itself, the following 90° flick makes it a net 180°, but is still only a 90° flick itself in actuality.
    2. Flick, then attack to end the current frame and go to the next frame, so that you can turn 90° again. This is called double flicking, and this is also an intentionally created mechanic. https://www.twitch.tv/mclean_yep/clip/AmorphousFaithfulKleeTheTarFu-jPzbiLNS-Dku-899

My guess is they will change it. Eventually.

Blight has already shown that using stronger peripherals IS cause for them to tone down what is possible in order to be more even with weaker ones.

Because it is still skill. It requires trained motor function, hand-eye coordination, and knowledge of the mechanics at play as well as spatial awareness in-game. It is still skill.

Okay but we cant act like it's this mega complex thing, if anything playing with the limitation is harder as you physically cant down at many places you can with a 180°

I guess it depends what you class as skillful and hard people say nurse is the hardest to play but I dont agree so its definitely more of an opinion.

Still shouldn't be different depending on platform though

Can't say I enjoy Oni specifically because the few times I see them, they are blatantly PC players with cracked out DPI. Don't really give a rats butt that it's "skillful", I don't like blatantly losing to something that I physically can't replicate.

I think it's something to do with looking up and then flicking, but unsure.

I'm just pointing out that it is still skill, regardless of what control method is being used or if the mechanic is intentional or not. Whether or not it is fair that some control methods work better than others is not skill-related.

Also, Nurse is more about having a higher barrier of entry insofar as skill goes. It takes a little while longer to get good at her initially. As far as long term learning and mastery is concerned, I'd argue that Blight is actually harder considering they need to memorize and recognize assets and angles on the fly in order to best utilize him, while Nurse is more about nailing distances, reacting to opponent position, and correctly anticipating opponent movement. Blight still has to do all that, while also factoring in the best way to use his power to best close in and avoid areas where his power is weak or simply won't work due to how the angles or assets are.

Oni flicking past 90° is a bug. Blight cannot flick past 90° in a single frame. The current methods Blight uses to reach past 90° are both intentional design: pre-turning and double flicking.

I dunno how people flick with Oni using dpi. never worked for me.

What did work is flicking mouse to top-side, and then down-side. So basically sharply looking up and then down while flicking sideways. This way I could flick past sharp corners for almost 180.. I'd say it was at least 150 degrees

The way Oni does it is a diagonal 45° mouse movement upwards to the left or right, to turn to the desired direction, then drag the mouse straight down and attack.

I posted the video recently in this thread. There isn't any special trick to it. Just flick your mouse across the table.
