Tunnel

Is it considered tunneling if all 4 survivors where exact same outfit?or even if there are just 2 the exact same? Its happened twice today all 4 the same.I didn’t bother trying to tell which is which I just hit and hooked.

One needn’t immediately rehook them. Simply returning to hook and targeting specifically the newly unhooked survivor is tunneling. One can leave that player slugged or even chase them until they somehow escape you; you still had tunnel vision for that one person.

I don't see slugging the unhook survivor as not quite tunneling.

Mainly because I've had games where I hook a survivor, search the area for a survivor I saw nearby when I was hooking the survivor, could not find that survivor as I'm about to leave the area they go for the unhook so of course I'm going to head back. Sometimes the unhook survivor runs at you to try to take the hit with endurance and I see no issue with slugging them and continuing after the unhooker. Why would I intentionally leave a survivor up to work on gens?

You really can't be that vague about tunneling, if he returned to the hook while chasing someone and they do a unhook in your face then to me it's fair game and it's on your teammates for making that play, compared to if he stood close by with a stealth killer or a nurse that can blink there in one blink, as far as your teammates are aware the killers not around to down but then bam the unhooked survivor is downed and hooked again that's more camping/tunneling.

You have to remember it's not against the rules to tunnel does it suck yes but your nor breaking any rules, if you try and not tunnel survivors there will be times that your hand is forced or you just come across the same person 45sec later. Which by the sounds of your post is what happened it was just bad luck for that survivor, not all but some survivors will say you tunneled even though you didn't .

If you feel like tunneling then tunnel.

The survivors tunnel their objective with impunity so you should do the same.

lol not really anything you can do about it, you're not expected to go out of your way to try and work out who's who in this situation. I mean if you come back and see one injured, it's kind of obvious, but they took a gamble with coming in all dressed alike, sounds like it backfired. I'll intentionally switch to another cosmetic loadout or character if i see the same in my lobby, just in case killer thinks we're trying to be smart when actually I'm just solo-q.

Honestly if multiple survivors are dressed alike I won't hold it against a killer who can't identify one over the other without paying very close attention to their HUD.
