How do you deal with loops if you aren't playing an anti-loop killer?
I have a daily to do oni and my mmr is too high and it's draining trying to play against expert survivors on a killer that excels at navigating large swaths of open map. It's kind of a huge waste of time considering every chase is just a series of tight circles around every pallet on the map.
What kind of perks can I run to deal with this? On someone like nemesis, artist, or pinhead I just run a lot of gen slowdowns because their powers make chases a lot easier to deal with. But with oni? With someone like legion? Chases are literally so boring, a single survivor can run through all the pallets on a map and all the gens get done and I'm left with nothing. If the killer power doesn't deny the survivors their loop, my only perk options either seem to be "see how the survivor loops you" or "break pallets faster but not enough to matter"
Should I be running something like play with your food to deal with chases on weak killers? Coup de Grace? Spirit Fury??

Mind games.
Hiding red stain.
Most of the time getting the pallet out of the way is the best option.

For Oni specifically, I think the answer unfortunately is just "git gud", since his power is one of the stronger ones in the game and he isn't really the kind of killer that you need to complement with perks to get good chases. Not a judgemental statement, I'm rubbish at Oni myself.
For other killers, things that break pallets and things that block windows are good. Brutal Strength, Dissolution, Enduring/Spirit Fury, Bamboozle, even stuff like Blood Favour and Crowd Control aren't awful. Save The Best For Last is also good for ensuring you can catch up quicker after a hit, and instadown perks tend to make chases a lot shorter if you can get them to activate at the right time.

you pray they mess up. thats all
be as unpredictable as possible so survivors react late, that can lead to hits
do as much weird stuff as possible, if you dont know what youre doing, the survivor definitely doesnt
but a good enough survivor will just not get hit against an m1 killer
if you were to use a chase perk, id recommend bamboozle, but its really up to preference and playstyle, i dont recommend coup tho all it does it discourage you from lunging

For oni, I always run spirit fury enduring. It’s also not hard to mind game a loop with demon dash. Pretend to dash one side, then last second change to the other and 90* flick. Usually works.

You more or less need to mind game them or bloodlust. The best perk to do this at powerful loops is Bamboozle. It is very underrated and often catches them off guard enough to get a hit even if their positioning was really strong. If it is just a pallet and you cannot get them, I would just break and move on.

Please give M1 killer have speed 4.8 m/s.

All depends on the loop. If it's a small loop or has tall walls can mind game it for a hit. If it's too big and/or the walls are really short just gonna have to eat the pallet. Often run 1 perk to deal with pallets for killers that have no answer to deal with them.
Regardless of the loop always want to loop it in a way to make the survivor drop the pallet and put them selves on the side that has the wall of the map or a dead zone.

Are you actually trying to make a point by using a cheater?

I didn't realize how much killers rely on anti-loop abilities until now.

As effectively? You can't.

As others have said, you can only make reads and try to mislead your opponent at interactions where they are required to make reads as well. Unfortunately its not terribly difficult to prevent those situations in the first place in many cases, so you end up with obligatory time wastes in between each possible attempt at gaining pressure (or even just getting hits sometimes)
Its another one of those situations where the map design often does not allow for it. In a perfect DBD, no killer would have strong anti-loop but more importantly every single loop would be designed in a way that it would not be necessary. Every interaction between the killer and survivor in chase is supposed to be a battle of wits, but there are far too many "you're safe, take a breather" loops in the game for M1's to stay viable. You have to constantly reassess your priorities every single time a window is vaulted or a pallet dropped on whether you're accumulating more timewaste than you are able to secure pressure.
Its part of why i absolutely hate when survivors complain about niche situations where they are required to make reads, when people who play both know that most killers (and especially m1 ones) are having to make constant reads the entire match. Its the only way they can hope to keep up vs even moderately efficient survivors. unless they tunnel one out and shift the efficiency scale, of course.

Mindgames + Bamboozle. That's what keeps my Sadako afloat for example.
