######### happened to gens and survivors?
Gen speeds were slowed and killers were buffed all around. When the latest patch arrived, survivors complained that killers are out of control. Now when I play killer every other game I play gens get done in record speed and survivors just walking out, no gameplay or interaction with the killer. Chase the wrong survivor first, the chase becomes a little too long, and 3-4 gens done after first hook. ######### happened? Sure people adapted but is ridiculous gen rush (hate that word btw but applies here) the answer now? It feels like you cannot make any mistakes in the beginning as killer or the game is already lost.

I do not have the same experience, but that's maybe because the survivors I'm facing are not that good yet. Similarly, when I play as survivor we scarcely ever get to 5 gens done, so it might be a phenomenon more specific to your mmr bracket / hours of the day you play / region.

Yeah there is a lot of variation of course, sometimes I stomp as well. It very often feels like the first chase and its length determines the course of the whole match. I have no idea about my MMR but on many killers I play the survivors seem very objective-focused and many are good loopers.

What happened? They adapted, like everyone kept telling them to. They adapted or they left.

I mean, if a lot of the survivors you see seem quite good at the game, then it's a good sign as to how good you are becoming yourself ! :)

More people bring prove and strong toolboxes after the nerfs to old meta perks.

There was a honeymoon phase for roughly 2 weeks after patch 6.1.0 where killers could run just about any build and comfortably win the game. Unfortunately, at that same time, some killers were bringing 4 busted gen regression perks that made for many a miserable survivor.
In the end, survivors were left with the the classic "if you want to enjoy the game, you'll need to run X, Y, and Z perks."
Now, because survivors need to come prepared for the worst possible scenario, chill killers are back to being punished for their sub-optimal playstyle.

Yeah, as a surv I have definitely prioritized doing whatever I can to crank out at least a couple gens in the early game. I've run prove thyself more than ever, and used toolboxes more than ever. I feel like we have to get down to 3-4 gens asap. If that goes fairly well (and it appears the killer hasn't brought the entire kitchen sink of slowdowns), I'll start playing normally.
That said, I still get plenty of killer interaction (I feel like every killer is running lethal pursuer nowadays, but maybe I'm just really unlucky).

Yeah, that happened because gen times were increased by +10 secs.
I had some chill games, but then the killers had to bring 4 regression/slowdown perks, so rn my build is Prove, Deja Vu, Resilience + Bond / Built to Last with Green toolbox with speed addons.
Sorry not sorry, if I can't have chill games, I have to be prepared for a worst-case scenario.
