99% of the problems in Solo Q arise from the 2 survivor broken end game.

I still don’t understand why nothing has been done about this.

Which still ends the game faster than both survivors sitting around waiting for the other one to die. But I'd give it 1:3 odds on whether the killer even slugs for the 4k in the first place.

We finally agree on something. The only reason why survivors are too scared to touch a generator, is because if they touch it, they die. The game design works when there are 4, 3, and 1 people alive. The game design no longer works when there's 2 people alive. Either one touches a gen, and you kill them, because you will search the area until you find them.
But this is the biggest reason, it is the root cause of most of the issues with Solo Q, because if this problem is fixed, then I don't care if my team was bad, or if it can't communicate like SWF.... I know that my destiny is in my hands and I can still escape. It won't turn into a "who gets caught first" situation.

the hiding for 20 minutes because neither survivor can touch a gen without killer knowing,
As long as there's more than one survivor left, you're supposed to work on gens and power the exit gates. That's the objective.
Why would anyone even hide for 20 minutes? Why hide for 10 minutes? Isn't that boring? You're not earning points. At least if you died you would already be in a new match doing something. Not to mention, if all remaining survivors are hiding for 20 minutes not touching gens, that is against the rules and the killer can report the survivors doing it.
I've had matches that were still fun when it got down to two survivors. Just the other day, there was an AFKer in the match and the another survivor died pretty early. Still 2 or 3 gens left, and me and the remaining survivor actually managed to push through them, we never gave up. I finally went down (my own fault, I really wanted the fourth stun for that stun Tome Challenge, and no I didn't get it) and he even saved me after opening the exit gate. It took a while, it wasn't easy, but we managed.
How would you even want BHVR to fix the endgame? After two survivors die, the final two die automatically? It's an asymmetrical game, the side whose strength is in its numbers is supposed to get weaker as those numbers decrease. You can try to push through it or you can give up when it seems too hard, but doing neither and dragging it out by hiding is pointless and as I said before against the rules.
Sorry you keep getting teamed with jerks. All you can do is report the griefers who work with the killer and move on. You must be in the worst region and MMR bracket imaginable, because I don't think anyone else on these forums experiences this problem to the extent you do. Everyone experiences it some, but I don't necessarily see it blatantly occur even once a week or once a month. Then again, I usually don't go into super stealth mode; if I'm not going to be doing something, then I'm going to just surrender and move on. My chances of a teammate becoming pissy with me and outing me to the killer go up greatly if I start hiding in lockers. Lockers are seriously looked down on, and actually, screw every survivor who automatically follows me and starts messing with my locker when I get in one real quick at any point in a match, I'm just making a Flash Bang you impatient oblivious fool. Goddamn, people. There are perks that require getting in a locker, ya know.

There are game design changes that could be made. The other day I saw another thread by a poster, who was complaining about this topic too. They suggested that BHVR could have the Entity spawn a chest with a key, and the hatch, with 2 survivors left, but only 1 survivor can use hatch. Therefore, the hatch no longer spawns for final survivor, instead.. it spawns when 2 survivors are left and only 1 survivor can use it. The final survivor then has to use the exit gates if they want to escape.
I think this happens to me because I am in the final 2 survivors almost every single match. I rarely ever get tunneled out first because I'm good at looping and so they won't waste their time chasing me too much. They'll break away and go find someone easier when there are still 4 people alive, etc.

I really really hate to say this, as I hate players who say this, but... Sometimes it needs to be said. It's not the other players job to make sure you have fun.
Plus, you say that touching a generator with 2 survivors left is death, but that's not the case unless you as survivors messed up. There is a situation called a "3 gen" where all 3 remaining generators are on the same side of the map. If you do this, you lost and it's your fault. Take the loss and learn from your mistakes.

I never said it was the players job to fix the broken game design. I said it's BHVR job.
I ran out of time and cant post anymore, have to finish work but I said what I had to say

You are literally asking them to make it so that if you screwed up and lost the game, should still win. Because you somehow deserve the win even when you (and your team) didn't manage to do what was necessary to win. If you were in a race and the other racer was at the finish line, what they should slow down and give you a chance to catch up? Of course not, that would be monumentally stupid. It's no different here. You lost. Get over it and move on to your next game.

This sounds great for the final two survivors, but it also sounds like a new reason for my teammates to leave the first two people hooked to die. Why work on five gens when you can let two people die and go for a key? There was a similar problem in the old days of the hatch and key: a 3-man SWF would leave the random to die on their first hook so they could hatch out. Four people left, just one gen to do, that's totally doable, but why bother when you have a key and a hatch. Oh, I don't miss the old hatch at all.
This game already has a problem of rewarding players for doing nothing. I hate, absolutely hate, that survivors are rewarded 7k BP for escaping. That has encouraged the worst, most selfish, most annoying behavior from my teammates. Why take aggro or work on gens or do anything but hide when you can get almost 10k from a hatch escape?
The game needs to reward more BP for participating, little to no BP for escaping. And SBMM needs to be fixed so that participating in the match is what counts, not escaping, that way players feel encouraged to (rather than punished for) taking aggro and making end-game saves.
Because of BHVR's poor game design decisions, players put way way too much emphasis on "not dying" instead of playing the game. Dying is not the end of the world, we can move on to a new match. I can enjoy a match despite dying if I feel like I'm playing with my team instead of against my team. BHVR needs to fix their game description and fix the survivor role to remove as much selfishness as possible and ensure team play.

Then you're playing very different matches to me because I'd call it 80/20.
Also, I'm not just advocating for what is fast. Just because its fast doesn't mean its most conducive for an optimal experience.

It's not only the case if you mess up, killers are notified of active gens. If one gen suddenly becomes active they're going to beeline for that area. If two gens are active it's a case of walking backwards and forwards which, with the increase in gen times and stacking of slow down perks, can be much more accessible to a killer than before.

I mean this could use some improvements but in reality one of the two survivors should go offer themselves and die, the game is over stop wasting time.
1 -
The last 2 survivors is a terrible part of the game. Its not fun for anyone, and you can't DC and if you give up to the killer half the time they will slug for the 4k and you wait an additional 4 minutes. I wouldn't say its the biggest problem but it is something that I do not think truly anyone finds fun on any side so maybe there could be some changes made.
2 -
There are very few situations that a killer is notified of gens being worked on, most of which are tied to specific perks or addons. The only one that applies to every match is a failed skill check.
Other wise the killer has to patrol and if they hear a gen they will check it, but the fewest number of gens they have to patrol is 3, and this is why as a survivor it is a bad idea to do all the outside corner gens first because you create a smaller patrol area.

Perhaps if 2 survivors die before gens are done killers should auto lose so you don't have to deal with a solo q team mate giving you away for hatch OR you could understand solo q a place of endless possibilities,,sometimes you get the giga chad team and sometimes the urban evading self care claudette

I was Claudette. Killer is calling me a stealth mastermind at end game chat.
Just for proof that I'm a good survivor and this is why I am fed up with the 2 survivor end game.
P.S. I have now switched to playing Rebecca more than Claudette. I really like the Rescue gear she has on

Friendly reminder that admitting to breaking game rules on the official forums isn't exactly a smart idea.

1000% agree.

Maybe the answer is once 2 survivors are dead the entity just kills the last 2 automatically and the killer wins.
That would solve so many survivor issues, no more 2 survivor hide and seek, no more trolling for hatch, no more slugging for the 4k. Just 2 dead game over survivors.
2 -
The sole reason that this is exists is because of hatch. You should ask the devs to get rid of hatch and then this problem would be solved.

If people fail hatch, they still go for exit gate. People would just try for exit gate instead. Same thing

I play solo exclusively and while I have experienced these sorts of things, they're not the norm. At all. I rarely experience any sort of sabotage from team mates. It's definitely not the main issue with solo lol

This. When I'm one of 2 left and we still have gens to do, then I park myself on a gen. Maybe the other survivor is doing the same, maybe they're hiding, who knows. But I'm not going to hide because that's boring asf and if I die then I die, I move onto the next game. I'm not interested I'm competing over a hatch. These sorts of sabotage or stalemate situations seem to occur when one or both survivors just plan to hide until the other is dead. Then the game becomes survivor vs survivor.

But the killer does get an advantage when getting stomped. The map shrinks. I've been in plenty of games (as killer and survivor) where killers have mounted comebacks at the end. It's incredibly easy to snatch at least a 1k against a team of superior survivors.
Additionally, the end game for a total survivor victory is like a minute and is a fun mad rush. With 2 survivors left the game can drag on for a really long time and is incredibly boring.

This murderous monstrosity is coming after you and this random stranger. Do you trip the stranger so you can flee for your own life? I hate to inform you of this, but most of humanity would say they wouldn't, but when their own lives were threatened, they would throw a stranger's baby at a hungry animal if it meant their own survival. Fear overrides judgment. Very few have the actual fortitude to overcome it when it matters. We call them heroes. They are very few and far between.
Regardless, he's a random stranger on the internet, just like you are to him. You have no obligations to each other. You cannot expect him to not take the gamble to metaphorically throw you under the bus as an offering for his own life. I would agree with your complaint if he was doing this at 5 gens with 4 people alive and just sandbagging you like that, but in the situation you describe... I don't see him having done anything wrong. Certainly cowardly, but I can't blame him for playing to win in an unwinnable situation.

This is my mindset too. I don't care if there are 4 people alive or 2, I will be attempting to work gens. I don't care enough about gambling on luck to get hatch first. Might as well get some more points. Hell, if the hatch gets closed, I tend to look for totems or chests for more points and avoid the doors like the plague, because most of the time, the odds are not in my favor with door placement.

Playing Blendette isn't really helping your case. Nor is the killer saying you stealthed a lot.
Again, I'd like to see some examples of your boldness score as proof that you actually took heat for your teammates and didn't just do gens and avoid the killer all game. If you're ending up in an endgame scenario where two of your teammates died after 3 chases each, another teammate has 2 hooks, and you're sitting pretty at 0 hooks, you let your teammates die and it's not surprising the remaining guy is pissed at you.
There's more to survivor than doing gens. Your priority should be keeping your teammates in the match as long as possible, not waiting for them to die off so you can slip through hatch.

And survivors are expected to repair. So go repair? LOL
