Watch Coconut's video on how to report.

People just give themselves a private profile and make their name 25 random Unicode symbols, or play on streamer mode so you can't report them.

Or they play on console and turn on their cheats with console web browsers by going to websites that use memory injectors (actual thing, btw).

You can't stop cheaters with reports, a new account costs $2. They need to hire an actual cyber security expert to help restructure their architecture and make cheating extremely difficult right from the get-go, instead of relying on Easily Bypassed Anti-Cheat

Amazing. Just about everything you said was wrong.

Go watch how to report someone on YouTube and stop trying to convince other people that reporting does not work. Especially when it does.

Accounts cost $2. I could ban every cheater I come across and they'd just start playing and cheating 10 minutes later.

The problem cannot be fixed by manually banning and reporting every single one the dozens of accounts that any particular cheater might be using, especially if we're talking about the needlessly obtuse and time-consuming report system this game has if you are actually trying to get a cheater banned.

Problem is that it's stupidly easy to cheat in this game. Once again, you could ban someone and they'd be playing again 10 minutes later. Account bans don't work in any game. ANY game. You need to hardware ban people, IP ban them, or server ban them.

I used to play with a lot of hackers back when I played on Xbox, so I like to think I know a thing or two about cheating in games. Also have played with some hackers on PC. Generally, most pre-packaged anti-cheats are about as useful as... well, literally nothing. You need an actual cyber security expert to prevent hacking or else they will just run rampant once one person release a cheat package.

    Edit:

I think there was a time in this game that you could straight up just edit game files and play just fine. Most people used it give themselves 100 or so FoV to play normally, but you could also mod the game and replace character models so you could find people easier.

A weird thing also happened in a game of mine, which is closer to subtle hacking but I dunno who the hacker was.

We were in one of the Macmillan maps and 3 of us were on one side working on a gen and Kate was on the other getting chased. I moved to a different but close gen to work on it and when Kate got downed a gen on the other side of the map popped while no one was there. At least that's what I saw. I think it was the gen Kate had been working on, so she either stopped mid chase and finished it and sacrificed herself or some weird hacking was involved maybe by her.
