Why do you think people don't play Dredge so much?

I'm one of the few who still play him

Hes consistent sadako but doesn't mean hes good. His nightfall is meh at best if the survivors take 2 seconds to remember the layout around them and his "antiloop" is extremely bad. Only good thing about him the pressure he has which you can't just have pressure, you have to have lethality.

Whatever the reason I'm glad i don't see many dredges. One of my least favourite killers to go against.

that's your opinion, but just the fact that you think that the dredge is decent... just no

Very map dependant, his anti loop gets countered by a lot of maps having connected tiles. He is loud so any kind of stealth or nightfall stealth is useless and he can be heard quite clearly in most loops. He is not a bad killer, but if you queue into a half decent team with bad map rng its going to feel rough.

I like Dredge a lot personaly, but If I have to think why people don't like him as much: He is mid at best. He has okay antiloop, but not great one. He has good mobility, but it is map dependant so it is overall okay as well. His nightfall is good but without addons it takes a while to charge up usualy.
Overall he is "avarage" probably. I like him tho.

Dredge became my second main killer beside hag, and i play them both about equally.
As others has pointed out, he is highly map dependent, and too often there are locker-wastelands, or so many lockers stacked that you take an eternity to break the locks.
On other maps, you only have to use 4-5 well positioned lockers, and locking them doesnt do anything.
He is maybe the most rng-dependent killer in the whole game, and his chasing ability is not that strong.
