State of the Game In My Opinion

I've been playing DBD for about 2 years now. I am a killer main but have played a lot more survivor recently because of queue times and BP incentives. I've noticed that the game is going to a particular trend. Survivor role is fairly easy to do. Most of the time you just do gens which is an effortless activity and looping the killer is not too hard to do. I am not the best at running the killer by any means but have gotten better at it. Most games I feel like 4 gens get done before a person is killed. Rarely in my games do killers get 3-4 kills before the exit gates are powered. A strategy is see more often now is 3 people solo gens while 1 runs the killer for a bit. By the time the killer gets the down and hook 3 gens are done. Sometimes this happens at the start because the killer can't find and down someone in time.

I see the killer side of this when I play killer. I am a Blight main (not the best Blight in the world, still have much to learn) but I think I'm decent at him. I also play a lot of Spirit. I get MMR is a thing and the more kills you get the harder the opponent will be. But it feels like this game has become comp DBD. Every game I get the same gen rushing sweat squads that run me all over the place. I know I can take a break from the game or play a different killer at a lower MMR so I don't deal with this sweat fest but if I take time to invest in another killer and rack up kills with them then we are back at square 1. Killer is harder now because of the mental toll it takes on a player to have to perform well and try to just get a few hooks let alone kills.

I don't think BHVR has implemented the break thing for MMR yet. You take 2 weeks off and your MMR goes down slowly over time. Maybe it has but I don't think it is and I know they were going to add that at some point.

Overall I feel this game is survivor sided in the sense that the role of survivor is easy and does not give you a headache like killer does. Which is really sad cause this used to be a fun game now it's just a sweat fest of comp playstyle and a tough time for killers.
