Why can't you change killer in lobby?

Survivors can change their survivors but killers can't? Why?

Like tippy said, it has to do with individual MMR values per killer.

Before the new matchmaking system you were able to change killer mid lobby.

This is in place so you can't pick a F killer you struggle with like trapper while queuing up and then change to nurse or blight.

It's up for debate how good this is still working when the maximum MMR discrepancy between killers and the widening of the matchmaking to shorten queue times may reach similar sizes.

There’s no reason why we’re not allowed to. I really don’t think killer’s have their own MMR, or if they do, then it clearly doesn’t work very well.

Honestly they should make it so if you have certain killers within like a 150 mmr range then you can switch to another killer within that.

The wide quality of the matchmaking is due to lobby dodging & the resultant backfilling, insufficient similar skilled players at certain hours, and/or prioritizing queue times.

So does that mean individually per players statistics with that killer or just that killer in general?

Ah, you've all been so helpful.

I suppose this explains why I get matched within 5sec or less with certain killers, it's because their are people waiting in backfill, and I actually wasn't the first person to dodge that p100 lobby!
