The Knight's Guard Detection Is Inconsistent And Frustrating...
Let me explain to you two scenarios that just really show the issues with the Knight (based on my experience).
- Survivor: Versus Knights on certain maps, there are many situations where the Guards will detect someone through the floor/wall and immediate get a hit on the Survivor with no counterplay. There is no reason for detection and no reason that should be a hit. This leads to frustration as Survivor, where you played perfectly fine but got punished because of something out of your control.
- Killer: Versus Survivors on certain maps, the Guards can have direct line of sight of a Survivor, but still not start a chase, which leads to times where hits or zoning could be denied as a result. This, in my opinion, is what makes the Knight so unfun to play, where many times you as the Knight are punished by something out of my control.
This inconsistency can really make the Knight not fun to play as or against, since it leads to situations that are unfair for both sides. It's not uncommon to play a match as the Knight and get hits you shouldnt be getting, but also get denied hits and chases that you should be getting. It creates this buggy and inconsistent and frustrating mess of a Killer that I really dont enjoy, which sucks, because I love the visual design for them a lot.
Yes this is kind of a vent post, but I really just want to know people's thoughts on this, am I the only person who sees this as an issue that should be address? Or is it not as common as I think it is?

Inconsistency in spotting is not something I've had an issue with.
Guards need direct LoS on Survivors, if not, then they need a loud noise notification.
I have had issues with the guards chases. They get stuck on stuff, take weird paths (different from the Survivors) and sometimes they just bug out and walk in a straight line.
