Honestly how'd you feel if Springtrap ever did get into the game

Thr forum likes to argue on whether he can get into game, with there being many you really want him to a side who really really don't want him.

But let's say hypothetically, how would you react if he actually got in, whether it be a full chapter or just a killer only one.

I'd be happy with him being added, but I'd be kinda disappointed if he came without a map.

I just hope there would be a fitting chase music

I think ability-wise there's a lot of potential, it'll be difficult to mess him up and make him a snoozefest killer. The map potential would also be an added bonus.

People will hate it, love it or just be glad that it's over with and people can stop begging for it. On the other hand even if he does get added, there's going to be people upset that they didn't get exactly what they wanted.

I'll stop playing for good. I'm not in the mood to play a kids' game.

If he's fun to play, then good. If not? What's one more poorly designed killer in DbD anyway?

    Disinterested/Mildly Irritated.

Springtrap came into the series after the series had already overstayed its welcome for me. The first game did a lot with very little, and while it was just a jump scare fest , it let your imagination do the work on the fate that befell you when you failed, it had a budget game charm, and managed to keep me on edge enough to enjoy it.

As the series progressed, the idea grew old fast, with not much of substance to replace it; the jumps scares just annoyed me instead of scared me. The whole dead children thing possessing the robots, living in fear of Springtrap, and ultimately trying to take revenge on the man who murdered them is fine I guess... however for me the original idea of cold dead machines having a dodgy protocol that mistakes you for a robot out of its skin and tries crush you and your bones into the exoskeleton, was so much more believable and unnerving.

Making it all supernatural and assigning human personalities to the bots just totally kills their intimidation factor for me, and without that unnerving idea... it's literally just a show case of obnoxiously loud and fast things rushing in and screaming at me.

At this point the whole thing is charitably a children's horror game, and uncharitably the cheapest, laziest form that horror can take. If people like it, fair play, but for me, Springtrap might as well be the Killer Sponge from Goosebumps... in fact I'd actually prefer the sponge.

They would have to remove their PG-18 Label, since springtrap is not from adult horror game nor movie.

I just don't want the community to become worse than it is already.

Edit: oh yeah I forgot if a FNAF chapter gets released then *that guy* is probably gonna get a whole bunch of money off it, I definitely don't want one now

Originally I was hoping they put it off a bunch just to be petty to the people who are annoying about it on social media but not wanting to benefit a highly objectionable person is an actual good reason to oppose something

As a huge fnaf fan, more than dbd even, I don’t want it to happen. The fnaf community does not need toxicity lmfao

I personally don't care too much, stop caring about the series after the first game. Unless the killer is overpowered/ badly designed i dont agree with posters saying they will leave. The creator doesn't own the license anymore.

Personally I wouldn't buy it, I outgrew fnaf pretty quickly and genuinely don't get the hype.

I'd probably be worried the community gains a bunch of fnaf fans, whom don't have the best reputation and I imagine being insufferable.

On the other hand I'd be glad we won't have to deal with the annoying fans "theorizing" about the next killer being springtrap every time a teaser drops.

Oh wow, just looked this up. Never knew anything about the whole Scott backstory.

Not going to condone foolish behavior/ decisions by ppl, or whatever it is inside them causing any of the foolishness.

“Regardless, I personally wouldnt mind a FNAF chapter, there a lot of people in the FNAF community and Id love to see all of those amazing creators and artist work their way into the DBD community.”

👆🏽While I’m not a personal member of the trans community (or FNaF community, for that matter), that you are, and have this take, is pretty cool and speaks awesome volumes of love for art, creative genius and for people in general🫶🏽

Yeah, I wasn’t aware of anything that happened

    Completely understand.

You’re one of the few people who I (and many others I know) actually agree with, support and vote up everything you post. This community would be drastically missing not only your crucial and insightful brilliance, but an unfeigned, passionate and beautiful soul.

You help balance these forums, they’d kinda suck w/o you🫶🏽even those who disagree w you often know this is true

    … jus sayin’

Not a fan of FNAF. Never thought it was very good, cheap jumpscares on an overly clunky system, and learning about Scott has put me off it, so I don't feel comfortable supporting it directly.

But if BHVR teamed with with FNAF, it's whatever. I'll be a little disappointed, but it's business. It wouldn't be much worse than the NFT fiasco.

I'd probably take a short break from the game while it was being hyped up then come back once it's died down and he becomes another Twins/Demo.

To the OP, I would be very happy. I would want all of the animatronics to eventually come as well as the Fazbear Pizzeria.

I'd much rather Willy's Wonderland, which has nothing to do with FNAF.

Cool, i was hoping he would come in before another doll like character (Chucky/Tiffany) so the hype wont be as big

but i grew on on that series i would love it in DBD.

To be fair alot of people started playing this game when they were as young as 13 so.

I completely agree with you! Very well said. I've always felt FNAF would make a great addition to the game ever since I started playing DBD. It just feels like it belongs here. FNAF was something truly special when it first came out and still is to this day. After the huge success of the FNAF movie that came out recently it really has me wondering what will happen next for the franchise. Seeing it come to DBD would be a massive win for the game and could even inspire new kinds of games for FNAF.

I would LOVE it if we got Willy's Wonderland over FNAF

As long as there is a Pinball machine on the map I can go play at in-between gens of course. It's my break time!

Honestly i'd prefer it was never in just on a personal preference thing.

However everyone can say that about pretty much every killer so if it makes it a year from now (it won't before that) so be it.

It would be the only chapter I never ever buy, i've bought every other chapter on release to support the game & the devs. Including pinhead who I had less than zero interest in but I wouldn't do so again.

Will they miss my few $$ probably not & even though I don't really post much here I do check in a few times a day I probably wouldn't do that for until the next chapter turned up just to skip past all the inevitable arguments post after post.

Well i would be very happy. FNAF was my first horror franchise that i got into. Since i started playing dead by daylight i've gotten into a lot of the IP's featured in the game like Halloween, Saw etc. And most recently chucky too. I watched all the films and almost done with what is out of the show. I was hoping the chapter would be fnaf but i am quite happy chucky got added now too.

I know about the Scott controversy and i am still happy to support FNAF. I do not believe he is anti LGBT. He supported the political leader he thought would be best for his country overall. He has made large donations to several charities before including LGBT ones.

I would love to see FNAF in DBD.

If the killer will be fun to play as - I will give it a try (maybe).

Overall - will be a cringe chapter, I'm not a big fan of those animatronics design.

Weither they suit into DBD or not - I would not love to see Springtrap (or anything Fnaf related) in DBD.

Don't care about fnaf, if he gets in then good for those who wanted the character, however i'd prefer bhvr went for another more interesting IP.

I think FNAF is the one lisensed chapter that could, and probably would, blow the sales number of the Stranger Things chapter and Resident Evil chapter out of the water. FNAF is undisputedly the most requested chapter of all time, beating out even Friday the !3th in most polls

I'm out of the loop on Scott Cawthon - Without getting too much into it is he hated because of his political donations or has he been public about certain "views" towards other people?

Personally without getting too much into my personal life as long as it's not too extreme I can separate the art from the artist even if they view what I want to do with my life as something they cannot support. As long as they're not hateful or an awful person. I'd be fine with FNAF would be added as long as the power was fun to play as and against but I could care less either way. It's definitely not even a blip on my radar on things I personally want but I get others do.

  • Zokenay
    Zokenay Member Posts: 1,132

Didnt really dig much into it, but from my understanding it was just people hating him for the political views he supported, as far as im aware, he kept his opinions to himself for the most part.
