My god is DBD a hot mess right now. I haven't played the game for months, but now that I'm looking to pick it back up again, I'm hearing about all of these game breaking bugs.

Animation bugs are one thing, but the fact that generators are completing themselves for every survivor that dies should someone leave the match is ridiculous. I can only imagine how incredibly frustrating it must be to play killer right now.

I don't think you could have asked for a better example of a game engine that needs to be put to rest. At this rate, just give dead by daylight a proper "sequel" that utilizes an updated engine. And I say "sequel" only because maybe instead of a proper next chapter it's kind of like a 1.5 version where everything you've unlocked still carries over.

Regardless whatever the future may hold for DBD, It's clear that the original engine needs to be put out to pasture.
