Castlevania Feedback

This is my feedback of the Castlevania/Dbd crossover as a whole.

First of all, the collaboration is a grand slam. Up front this is a Castlevania lover’s dream. I’ve played almost all of the games and this is all pure fan service.

The trailer was done so well. I love how you put in Dracula’s eyes on the screen looking remotely at Trevor.

The music is 10/10

Playing the Castlevania themed Light’s out mode was a surreal experience. Having two of your favorite IP combining for a huge event feels so good it almost feels wrong.

I never believed in my wildest dreams that I would see a costume 3D rendition of Jonathan and Shanoa. They’re all perfect. The Soma skin is incredibly cool, it feels like a dream. It’s overload but in a good way.

Dracula himself is intimidating. He along with the cloak have a massive presence. He feels inherently imposing. Dbd Dracula easily belongs within the pantheon of Castlevania Draculas. Amazing.

The team has outdone itself with the True Form Dracula skin and Mori. The team’s ever increasing creative skill is on full display. The work is breathtaking.

What I’d like to see in the future:

  • Another Castlevania chapter that focuses primarily on the Lords of Shadow franchise. This may include another Killer and Survivor.
  • More Castlevania skins for existing Survivors
  • More Dracula skins
  • A Castlevania map. Yes, I know that they are expensive, decrease in value as they add to the map pool, and they decrease the value of all the other maps. Despite this I still need to advocate for this dream project. It’s too much of a passion project to pass up. A map set within Castlevania itself begs to be created. It could be based off of bringing the first game to life or even a Lords of Shadow map. Baba Yaga’s music box anyone?
  • More badges and banners from each of the different games.
  • More charms like the sub weapons and mini enemy models.

Thank you. Thank you to every single person who poured their heart into everything Castlevania for Dbd. I’m still processing the enormity of this collaboration and all the content. I just want to say that the passion is being felt loud and clear. The collaboration was a perfect homage to Castlevania and I would love, love, love to see more. Thank you again to everyone for all of your hard work. Sincerely. 💐
