Recording cheaters just got easier (if you play on Steam)
This is just a heads up to people who might want to use this to report cheats.
Steam released: Game Recording - A new built-in system for creating and sharing your gameplay footage.
With Background Recording mode, your gameplay is continuously saved to your preferred drive, never exceeding your specified duration and storage limits.
An On Demand Recording mode with manual start and stop is also available.

It would be neat if it worked. It used to, but since a recent DBD update a few months ago, it stopped working for me. Works fine in other games, but not DBD — just records a blank screen.
I think it broke in the same update that nVidia filters stopped working, very possibly for the same reason.

ehh, it litterly just released, so since it stopped working for you a few months ago, could you be mixing it up with something else?
Nvidia filters are working, but you need to enable it in GeForce Experience

I just did some testing and DBD is the only game I've tried so far where recording doesn't work. 🙄

I replaced Shadowplay with this feature, it's actually really useful.

Do they even ban people anymore? I know I used to get the reports that action was taken but I haven't gotten one of those in a long time even with obvious cheaters.

Sadly my experience is the same, but never the less they do require a video, if you want a chance that they look at the report.

Funny how you mention that, I got that message for the first time ever today. I reported a Dwight that was teleporting, going fast as #########, and preventing the killer form hooking.

I had the same with a Claudette, before she did that, she pre-dropped every pallet and sprinted to the next, it was luck i got her downed at all, i reported and send in a few videos, with the note that i had more recordings if they wanted/needed that. I never heard anything back.
