It's good to remind that Houndmaster was buffed, but not fixed
Houndmaster right now feels better to play as than at her release because of the buffs she received. Still, it should be reminded that even though she is strong right now, she's also still buggy and clunky. It's still surprising the amount of times you try to use her power and it doesn't respond properly.
The search command is definitively the clunkiest on the two. Sometimes you try to send the dog for a search and the VFX that shows the location doesn't even appear. More often, it appears, but you either can't place it on a gen at all, doesn't matter how much you try, or it gets stuck to a gen, and when you try to aim it somewhere else, it doesn't leave that one gen. Sometimes you move a tiny little bit and the aim goes to a completely different location to the gen you were aiming, sometimes you luck up and it doesn't aim to the floor above you in any angle.
The chase command works better, but there are still some times you press M2 and it doesn't start charging, even when it is available and you are not falling or anything. There are also times it does start charging but the VFX that show the trajectory the dog will make doesn't show up (that's rare, but I've seen it happen). Additionally, there are still times the VFX clearly shows the dog will go around an obect, only for him to get stuck in it (this used to be way worse and way more frequent, but it's still a thing). I understand the dog's colision may react differently to certain objects, but the VFX shouldn't give you information different to what's going to actually happen.
Finally, two things that aren't bugs but feel awful as hell are the mechanics for switching between commands and waiting for your power to come back. There are still times the dog takes an awful lot to come back, specially when you send him on a search, and when he gets back, if you are waking to the same direction as him, he will follow you closely for sometime, taking a bit long to actually reach you unless you stop moving for a second, which is something you don't want to do, specially if you are in chase.
About switching between powers, she isn't like Clown, who can just hold his power, release and immediatly switch. She has to send her dog, wait for the whole duration of the power, wait for him to return and THEN switch, but because sometimes it takes so long for him to return, there's an awful lot of times you just cannot switch your power preentively, and instead has to wait to switch right at the time you would like to be using the power immediatly instead. There are times I even think I have switched between commands, but take a few seconds to notice I haven't, because when I had pressed the switch button, I didn't notice the dog was taking longer than usual to return and switching wasn't possible yet. It's really confusing.
These things don't hinder her that much right now because the strong state she is in, but they are still quite annoying, and they will be even more if her power gets nerfed a little bit and her bugs and inconsistencies start to make a difference between a victory or a loss.

I don't get how you can say all that, and still call her strong. I mean, we're talking parts of her power not even functioning, like the Search. I've literally experienced that, where I'm trying to select a gen, and it just won't lock on to it.

I still call her strong because when the chase command works properly, she can down survivors really fast, and even when the bugs mess up her plays, she can still recover from it because of how short the cooldown is and how efficient the power can be in a chase. The buffs she got kind of, sort of compensate for the bugs when it comes to balancing, or at least they stop the bugs from making her weak. She has the strenght to win despite being bugged. Still, these bugs are awful for the experience of playing her, they hinder the fun and cause a lot of frustration.

Not to mention, of course, that not all of these problems are bugs. Some of them seem to be by design. Like the dog slowing down when it gets close to you and not allowing your power to recharge. Why doesn't the dog remain fast so it can come back to you more consistently? And why does the cooldown only start charging up AFTER the dog has returned to your side? The cooldown should start BEFORE the dog returned, so in case the dog took too long to return, at least the power would be available immediatly instead of making you wait for the cooldown on top of that.

I have a long list of stuff that needs to be fixed, if they haven't already. Some are new bugs after todays patch.

I still hate the fact I can’t accurately and quickly lock onto a gen in search mode, you have to be pinpoint perfect and even then some maps/gens you just can’t lock onto, so many wasted search modes from this.

Yeah, they should just make it prioritize the gens, there is no world where i'm aiming in the direction of a gen, but actually i don't want to i want to aim closer to me and not actually at the gen. You almost ALWAYS want to do a gen because it makes the path longer. Even if i'm trying to do it to a spot in front of me but not at the gen, i still want it to snap to the gen so i can chase the survivor potentially while on the trail.

i think that if u don't hold m2 but you are in search mode. it just hovers red marker on gen. like freddy tp using m2 allow you to set it on the floor. that was my idea to fix the targeting issue but bvhr can figure it out

I guarantee you they looked at all the complaining about how buggy she was, knew that would affect her sales, so they gigabuffed her to get people to buy her anyway and are planning on nerfing her into the ground Skull Merchant style as soon as they see enough profit.
