Why was Legion buffed in 2v8?
Legion (rightfully) has garnered the most complaints since their introduction in 2v8. Their power wasn't designed to be paired with another killer, and they certainly aren't balanced to make up for that fact. What was the thought process in buffing them?
Looking at the changes: the killer instinct adjustments aren't a buff or a nerf. It kind of just doesn't matter, it's still going to show them the closest survivors.
Then you get the only actual nerf: 1 second shorter duration on Feral Frenzy. This also isn't impactful since it's going to reset every time they get a hit, and they're in a target rich environment.
Then you get to the HUGE buff of lowering the necessary slashes to get a down.
So Legion will play exactly as before but better. Way to address the complaints. Play While You Wait is only gonna help killer queues when people want to play survivor, but I'd rather sit in killer queue for 20 minutes and doing something else than play survivor in a match against Legion. Maybe that's just me, but since the queues are just as bad as last time I'm guessing not.

I think 2v8 peaked long ago. It only seems to get worse with each iteration now. Which is crazy because it doesn't feel that old at all.

Agreed, and not only is it not that old it's been one of the most requested game modes for years. First two versions were great, Resident Evil added Legion and it was only bearable because Wesker and Nemesis are fun enough, IMO. But after that it's just been downhill quick. I even love Oni, but there was absolutely no thought or care put into adding him to the mode while leaving Legion in it. Like it just seems beyond inexcusable to me at this point. What are they even thinking?

its just getting worse and worse 2vs8, people are still able to bodyblock cages yes people shouldn't do this but sadly they do and it hasn't been fixed/changed.

The yellow herb helped with that too. It wasn't a major addition, but its loss was felt the following iteration.
