Chapter Ideas
Hello everyone. I have a love and not love relationship with DBD most of the time, which I’m sure all of you do too. But I do enjoy the game, and I wanted to share two concept chapters that I thought of and wanted to see if you guys think they’re interesting too. Both chapters feature a KILLER and a SURVIVOR. I think both the killers offer a unique gameplay that’s different and a little bit the same as others. And they are NOT a repetitive dash slop. They offer something new and challenging. One is a hybrid of Teleport/Stealth/Infection, and the other a Range/Trap killer. *Note the images are AI generated. I am not much of an artist*
New Chapter - Mystic Carnage
New Killer - The Ravager
Killer Power: Beastial Shape
- The Ravager has access to two Forms and can freely change between them. Each Form has unique abilities and strengths.
Special Ability: Shapeshift
- Press Ability button 1 to shift between Monstrous Bunny and Regular Bunny Form.
- Monstrous Form has a 32 meter Terror Radius.
- Regular Form grants undetectable. Cannot break pallets and is not granted the bloodlust status effect.
Killer Effect: Cursed
- Hitting a Survivor with Cursed Claw adds to their Cursed Meter. When the meter is filled, the Survivor is afflicted with Cursed I.
- Cursed I: The Survivor is afflicted with the colored curse’s effect.
- A Survivor can only be affected by a total of one Curse at a time, and no other Survivor can be affected by the same Curse another Survivor is affected by.
- (*Description of how the curse’s mark will look: A claw scratch mark will appear on the Survivor’s back, and will glow with the imbued Curse color*)
Special Ability: Mother Nature
- A series of bunny burrow tunnels become available on the map when The Ravager is in play. By accessing a Bunny Burrow in Regular Form, it can enter these tunnels to move around the map. Survivors can hear the rustling of dirt if The Ravager is coming out of one.
- In Regular Form, The Ravager is able to see scratch marks for a longer time, and blood pools and scratch marks are more apparent. Speed is a little faster.
- Press the interaction button near dropped pallets to vault them (hop over them).
Special Ability: Cursed Claw
- In Monstrous Form, to select a Curse, hold the Ability Button to open the Curse selection. The Ravager has access to 4 different Curses:
- Green Curse: A Survivor's HUD is glitched
- Blue Curse: A Survivor is afflicted with reduced repair, sabotage and Totem-cleansing speeds.
- Purple Curse: A Survivor is afflicted with the blindness and oblivious status effect.
- Red Curse: A Survivor is afflicted with the broken status effect. If healthy, they become injured.
Special Item: Sacred Carrot
- Survivors when near one can pluck a Sacred Carrot from the ground and eat it to decrease the Cursed Meter over time. Being hit ends the effect.
- There are 4 different colored Sacred Carrots, each one corresponds to a specific curse. Survivors can only eat the carrot that corresponds to their curse.
New Killer Perks:
- Hex: Prey no More
You were once the hunted, now you hunt.
- Every time a survivor heals a Healthstate, gain a Token. Up to 5 Tokens.
- Each token adds ?% of Healing speed reduction to all Survivors.
- Hex: Haunt our Prey
- Every ?/?/? Seconds, all Survivors get blinded by a flash of light.
- The flash of light comes from a floating light crystal that spawns in your radius and explodes.

New Survivor - Beatrice Blackwood
New Survivor Perks:
- Invocation: Hand of Fate
- In the basement near the circle, press the Active Ability button to begin the Invocation, which takes 60 seconds to complete.

- Once the Invocation is completed, the following effects apply:
- You and all Survivors gain the ability to conjure an item into your hand once per trial.

- Completing an Invocation disables all Invocation Perks for the remainder of the Trial for all Survivors.
- Boon: Veil of Warding
- Soft chimes ring out in a radius of 24 meters. The killer suffers from the following effects when inside the Boon Totem’s radius:
- Grants a ?% hindered Status Effect to the Killer
- This effect lingers for ?/?/? Seconds after leaving the Boon Totem’s range.
- (*This is like the opposite of Dark Theory. Which could possibly be paired with, allowing for a little more distance. The killer wouldn’t suffer too much, just like Dark Theory by itself doesn’t give a survivor too much benefit*)
- Mystic 8-Ball:
- Press the Active Ability button while running to consult your mystic 8-ball.
- 50% chance YES / 50% chance NO:
- YES: You gain the Elusive status effect for ?/?/? seconds, followed by one of the following effects:

- Cannot be used while Exhausted.
Lore Short Version: Beatrice Blackwood is a magician who dabbles in the mystic arts. She has a talent for magic, but her habit of being recklessly clumsy causes her to accidentally mess up a spell and curse one of her bunnies, transforming it into an evil deadly beast.

- Armed Ice Traps trap and immobilize any survivor stepping into them
- This will also injure healthy Survivors.
- Trapped Survivors can try to free themselves from it, which may take several attempts, or wait for another survivor to rescue them.
- (*Trapped Survivors will be embodied by a block of ice, ice spikes seen inside piercing through the Survivor’s body. When hit by the killer, the ice will shatter and the Survivor will be downed. To be free of the Trap, the attempt animation would be shaking the ice until broken free. Rescuers would be knocking on it*)
- (*Shiver Shards and Basic Attacks can shatter the Ice Trap*)

Lore Short Version: Nikolai Kozlov is a scientist, and one day his sister was diagnosed with a rare disease. Conventional treatments proved ineffective, forcing him to turn to an experimental approach. The experiment failed, resulting in his sister to undergo a physical and mental mutation. The sister blamed the brother for what she had become and stabbed him with an icicle shard. The brother was saddened that his sister was no more and he couldn’t save her.
Most of these probably aren’t perfect, but they’re just ideas anyway. Love to see your comments on it, or your own original ideas.
First time on these forums, hopefully, I’m posting it right.
