Dark Lord's Hellfire, Animatronic's Fire Axe, and other's power don't count as "Protection Hit".

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: The following killers, with no consistency or logic (likely a bug for many of them), don't count as the "Protection Hit" event, with the side effect of not being able to trigger the Mettle Of Man stacks, or other perks that need Protection Hits such as Duty Of Care:

  • Dracula's Hellfire spell (no reason it shouldn't count, in my opinion).
  • Animatronic's Fire Axe (no consistency at all, because Huntress has been working with protection hits for a very long time):
  • Unknown's UVX Hit while Weakened (no consistency at all with Nemesis' Protection Hit when Contaminated, or Huntress' Hunting Hatchet)
  • Executioner's Punishment of the Damned (no consistency also with other ranged attacks).
  • Ghoul's Grab-Attack Hit: (no consistency also with other killers like Mastermind, that count when being grabbed. This honestly is the one that makes the least sense out of all, after Springtrap.).
  • Knight's Guard Hit (no consistency with Twins, where's Victor's Punce counts as Protection Hit).
  • Houndmaster's Dog Damage while Survivor is vaulting (also inconsistent, in my opinion).
  • The Lich's Flight of the Damned Hit (also no reason it shouldn't count, this makes it unappealing to bodyblock a door against Vecna/Lich).
  • Mastermind's Bound Attack Throw (this also makes no sense, because if you get grabbed, thrown, and damaged, for some reason you get no Protection Hit, even if the other survivor was protected).

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Go into a custom or public match, and try to bodyblock an injured survivor from the killer, when Healthy, Injured or Mending. Use the perk Mettle of Man, and you'll see that the stacks will not increase.

VIDEO: I don't have a video, but there's proof on the Dbd official wiki: https://deadbydaylight.wiki.gg/wiki/Protection_Hits

PLAYER LOGS:

The fact that there's very little consistency between what counts and what doesn't, and since Unknown was realeased, Devs seemed to have "forgotten" about what counts as Protection Hit and what doesn't, is REALLY really frustrating. This should be fixed ASAP imo.
