Hello Behaviour Interactive Team and the Community!
We all deeply appreciate the incredible partnership with Resident Evil and the amazing characters who have joined The Fog. The collaboration has brought some of the best content to Dead by Daylight!
Following the massive success and continued relevance of the Resident Evil 4 Remake, there is significant community demand to add one of the series' most unique antagonists: Jack Krauser, as a brand-new, independent Killer.
Why Krauser Should Be a Standalone Killer:
Krauser is not just a soldier; he is a deadly, mutated tactical threat whose unique abilities cannot be fully captured by a simple cosmetic Outfit. He deserves his own distinct Power and Perks to differentiate him from the existing roster.
Suggested Killer Concept:
The Killer: The Mercenary (Jack Krauser)
- Primary Power: Plagas Transformation (Mutated Arm):
- Krauser can charge and activate his Power to temporarily trigger his Plagas Arm.
- Mercenary Mode:
- The Power grants him a temporary boost to movement and vaulting speed.
- His basic attack is replaced by a fierce Plagas Slash that can instantly destroy Breakable Walls or Pallets with a single hit, but this action consumes some of the Power gauge.
- This Power would focus on fast, destructive chases and surprise tactics, making him a highly aggressive, anti-looping Killer capable of ending chases quickly once transformed.
Suggested Perks (Gameplay Potential):
His Perks should reflect his military background, survival skills, and obsessive focus:
- Tactical Insight: Briefly reveals the Auras of nearby Survivors after successfully destroying a Pallet or a Generator. (Represents his tactical training and situational awareness).
- Ambush Specialist: Temporarily reduces his Terror Radius after performing a rushed action (Fast Vault), giving him an opportunity for brief stealth and surprise attacks.
- Obsessive Rivalry: Whenever he injures his Obsession, that Survivor suffers from an additional Status Effect (like Oblivious or Hindered) for a short duration, reflecting his focused pursuit of a single target (like Leon Kennedy).
Conclusion:
We firmly believe that adding Krauser as an independent Killer would introduce a fresh, exciting gameplay style, solidify the strong partnership with Capcom, and immensely please the huge fan base of Resident Evil 4.
We are ready to welcome The Mercenary to The Fog!
