Event is just insanely boring and favours the killer side way too much
the ghosts are absolutely stupid killers can use their powers in the void but I can’t use my dead hard ? This event has literally no incentive for the survivor side at all thank you bhvr for another mid event that’s so boring and unfun and lopsided
Yes I get the og void event was stupidly survivor sided I hated playing killer during that event but what it has been dulled down to and how little the survivor gets but killers can just send a ghost at you just as you’re about to reach a pallet is just kinda crazy
BUT ITS OK GUYS WE HAVE VOID CRYSTALS YAYYYY

and this is not a us vs them argument I don’t want nothing buffed or changed I’ll just play normal queue but the fact is events should be fun for both sides
The only events that are fun anymore is the Christmas and anniversary but last Christmas even you guys made it unplayable by bad servers and every hit being dodgy and Bluetooth so that’s all I have to say make sure the Christmas event server is fine because I’d like to enjoy at least one event this year

The event is pretty normal as long as you don't interact with the Void, which is counter-productive since the Void is supposed to be the entire point. 😵 I had more fun kicking 50 pumpkins than throwing a crystal on 5 gens.

Dunno, being able to remotely repair generators is pretty ridiculous. The game plays itself for you in this event.

Killer event ability = garbage short range attack, survivor event ability = autorepair… sure, the event is killer sided, nice joke.

I see where you’re coming from, but I don’t think the event is as one-sided as you’re making it out to be. Survivors still have tools to counter the ghosts if they play smart — Dead Hard, pallets, and windows aren’t completely useless just because the killers have Void powers. The challenge is supposed to be heightened during this event; it’s designed to push survivors to make careful decisions rather than just sprinting blindly. Saying there’s “no incentive” ignores the fact that survivors still earn event rewards and can influence the outcome by staying coordinated. I get that it can be frustrating to get intercepted right at a pallet, but that’s part of the risk-reward dynamic this event is trying to create. Calling it “stupid” or “lopsided” kind of dismisses the strategy and skill survivors still need to use to succeed.

This mode encourages survivors to waste the entire game kicking pumpkins, going into the void to waste even more time. Like all other events the Killer is rewarded for playing the event the survivors waste time playing the event properly

This is the opposite of reality? Going into the void as the killer is a far larger time sink; their time is 4x as valuable as a survivor's. Moreover survivors get an item that directly progresses their objective without any input from them.

with so many people wasting time kicking pumpkins im pretty sure the killer has time to enter the void without any hindrance. yes survivors get an item to do gens for them but one kick of the gen stops that and to even get the crystal survivors have to step into the death trap that is the void. not really worth it for survivor.

There is zero reason to go into the void besides wasting time and you dont get a great ability. The item for survivors requires also wasting more time than what its worth. Unlike standard games no gens are done in the first 4 minutes because its better to get more blood points wasting time. Killers get rewarded to play to win survivors no

You do know this is exactly how it was last year right? Same mechanics and affects, last year I tried to use dead hard in the void and it didn't work and killers were always able to use their powers in the void as well, so I don't see what the big fuss is about it aside from the fact that it's just the same as it was before .-. (And aside from the fact that it's been the same kind of posts that you made that others made during the last years one as well)
Edit: but I do agree, there needs to be something for the Survivor side to even it out a bit more

I think captured haunts are just kind of annoying to face (especially on higher tier killers), but also kind of annoying to use as killer (kicks taking away charges this time is also meh) and the void map this year kinda sucks. The hinder ghosts are annoying enough to where you don't really want to go there as survivor and the unique verticality being gone makes for less interesting gameplay.
All in all, the event just feels mediocre. Which is par for the course this year.

The problem is at least in SOLO Q it rewards wasting A LOT of time and killer you get bonus BP just hooking and killing survivors. So you have plenty of games the Killer is playing 100% normal hook/tunnel or slug game and survivors 1-2 of them spending 75% not doing anything normal game related including gens. unhooking or healing.

How are you under the impression that kicking pumpkins takes a great deal of time? It's a like 1.5 second interaction.
Sometimes I feel like I'm playing a completely different game than you people.

Find the pumpkins I literally had 5 matches in a row not a gen was popped in the first 3-4 mins besides the ones I did before the Killer was chasing me.

It's just as much as a waste of time for survivors. For the amount of time it takes to get enough to make a crystal, go into the void and get the crystal, leave and find an unoccupied gen, then find another gen to work on yourself and this can all be undone with a kick from the killer or being interrupted while getting and placing the crystal. You spend a lot less time sitting on a gen than doing that for something that might have no pay off at all.

- theres more than just 1 to kick especially as there is a challenge to kick 50 of them.
it does seem like your playing a different game because pretty much all survivors in the matches i played were running round like headless chickens looking for pumpkins to kick instead of doing gens. during this time people are looking for pumpkins the killer is prowling around hooking people.
even when i did my challenge and didnt bother doing pumpkins, everyone else was still going for them for the BP and their challenges which means still no gens were getting done….plenty of time for the killer to do whatever they want in or out of the void.
