The Trapper (rework) I like to see

The Trapper is seen as weak, and the traps are too based on luck. He will only be seen on some skill levels. I want to make the trapper more consistent while still making him more fun to play and against.
What is the problem?
- Too territorial (basement/hooks)
- Too much luck is involved
- Too much time is required to use the traps
What is the goal?
- To make Trapper stronger and more involved
- To make Trapper more consistent
- To make Trials fast-paced
Trapper - Rework
Change
- Changed the functionality of placing Bear Traps (see Bear Traps below)
- Changed how Traps interact with Survivors (see Bear Traps below)
- Changed the way to retrieve Bear Traps (see Bear Traps below)
- Switched the luck-based mechanic when survivors try to free themselves from traps, to disarm the trap
- Disarming a trap has a 33% chance of failing, up to 3 attempts maximum
Bear Traps
- Removed the normal way to set Traps
- Gain the ability to throw Traps instead (4 meter range)
- The wind-up and throw duration is 0.5 seconds
- If the trap touches the ground, the trap is automatically armed after 5 seconds
- If the trap touches the survivor by any means, they become injured
- If the trap touches the survivor while they are injured, they become hindered for 30 seconds (5%)
- The trap is automatically removed if a survivor is hit by a Bear Trap
- The lost traps can be retrieved by going to the lockers
- If there are more than 8 traps placed, the first trap will be automatically destroyed.
Buffs
- The Trapper starts with all 8 Bear Traps (was 2)
- The Trapper can walk over Traps
- Increased darkness of the Traps
Nerfs
- Traps will not trigger while crouching
- Removed Haste after setting traps
- Increased the minimum distance between traps to 8 meters (was 1.5)
- Decreased the time to disarm a trap to 2 seconds (was 3.5)
- Added a cooldown of 5 seconds after setting a trap
Hopefully, this makes Trapper more fun and less frustrating. Thank you for reading.
