I got an ebony mori in 15 out of the last 20 of my Spirit's bloodwebs, who is not prestiged. But they're "Ultra rare" and cost 7k bp, so that's fine.

I don't buy that. I get one ebony every 10ish Bloodwebs at best. With some killer Bloodwebs even less.

You make a very good point. How many games get destroyed because killer brings an ebony mori and just goes for the person off the hook. Infinite evil within 3 is op and same with spirits add-ons. Luckily on console we dont get omegablink that often. MoM isn't good when legion brings Frank's mixtape and just kills any survivor he chooses to tunnel.

The only thing I will say is I am not bothered by iridescent head from huntress. It lowers her hatchets a lot and you need the other add-on to make it work. I personally never get bothered by this compared to the other ones.

Ebony moris should be after hooking a survivor twice. Myers honestly shouldn't have an infinite tier 3 (this is coming from a Myers main for a long time). Legion with franks mix tape should just be removed. Prayer beads should have the phrasing sound lowered to 8m or make footsteps louder maybe.

Either way you made a very good point and even though as a survivor main I have fun with MoM I can agree its op. It should give borrowed time status I feel but everyone has their own opinion.

The fact that they are rare (or mostly ultra rare, to be precise) and pricey does matter. They are not meant to "make the fight balanced". They are meant to spice up gameplay. We have add-ons that greatly change the way you approach a Killer so that both the Killer themselves and Survivors have to make use of different strategies to spice up gameplay.

For instance, Clown with Redhead's Pinky Finger turns into a Hillbilly. A Huntress with Iridescent Head means you cant afford to get hit by her hatchets. A Spirit with Prayer Beads means you have to pay attention to your surroundings or tapping instead of holding.

What am I trying to say? Add Ons are strategy changers. They are meant to greatly boost your chances, otherwise why would you use them? Coincidentally, I wonder why stuff like Tattooed Finger or Amanda's Secret are not used oftenly. They are the weaker ultra rares but for that reason they arent worth the BP of getting them. They still change the way you play, but people only use them for meme builds.

Their rarity and BP price isnt just a justification of how powerful they are, but its also an incentive to make them powerful. Sometimes it works, others it doesnt (like the ones I listed above).

The fact that its rare to come across it is a very much valid point. In the last six months, I have only seen two Huntresses with Iridescent Heads, and in one of the two I escaped just fine. Moris, I have not been hit by one (as in killed by it) more than ten times either. Within that time frame, I have played several matches everyday. I have seen more Clowns and Plagues than Prayer Bead Spirits.

all the addons I mentioned do not spice up anything. it does the exact opposite because they generate near unwinnable games (at least in solo play). prayer beads are just busted as you have no counterplay to knowing when a spirit is after you or not. I'm fine with taking a different strategy on approaching killers, but none of these are any different from the killer without addons, they just make the killer way too strong by enhancing their power, not changing it (an example of that would be bodyblock hag). its simply not true that they change the way we approach a killer. how do you play around instasaw or omega blink? i still disagree with rarity being a good reason for something being overpowered. like shad03 said earlier, just because you dont face something that often doesn't mean others dont too. what's sad is that some the addons I mentioned aren't even very-rare or higher, making them even more frequent. right now all I'm getting from your reasoning is "ultra-rare so it's ultra-fair" and imo that's not a very good arguement
