No way. I love that map. Killer and survivor. Probably one of the most consistent maps, though. Wish there was more variety.

I love that map. It is unique to most any other map out there.

From a thematic perspective, I agree. I recently watched the Stranger Things series with my son and we caught lots of little details from the Netflix series in the map. Like the room Eleven was locked in with the 2 dead minions outside the door. The isolation tank. The rift room. Just lots of nice little details.

I love that map. Playing as a survivor it gives such a cool aesthetic and feels so cool. Theres tons of pallets and a few pretty good loops that work too. On the killer end I still enjoy it as the pallets aren't safe and I actually have a chance but there are still some loops that can keep you occupied for a little bit.

I agree with many here, it's probably one of the best maps in the game. Maybe a tad killer sided, but without old Ruin, I feel like this map has the kind of balance that every map needs.

Maybe turning a few pallets that are completely unsafe into pallets that can be mindgamed by both killer and survivor would be good, but that's it.

Does anyone feel like hawkins is rare as hell?

I wouldn't say it's killer sided. It's perfectly balanced. It just doesn't have the god loops and amount of safe pallets the other maps have. Make no mistake, you can loop for days, if you're good enough.

Is it an insult to the tv show?

NO @RipleHHH89 , its not an insult.

    - Half of the map has the essence of the upside down (apart from that it has that decoration that characterizes the upside down).(stranger things 1,2,3&4)

-The map has the portal that opens up by eleven accidentally when she touch the demogorgon.(stranger things)

-Just ahead of the previous portal is the portal with the elevator through which the demodogs leave and through which hopper and eleven go down to close the mindflayer. (Stranger things 2)

-In the rooms with the two stairs and the bridge are the water containers where they put eleven to spy on the Russians (in the game we can fall there). (Stranger things)

-The slaughter hooks are made of upside down meat (they also have rats controlled by the mindflayer).(stranger things 3)

-On the second floor we can enter the room where they locked up eleven, if you remember the tv show eleven was pushing a man telepathically to the wall which is dented by the impact, they are also on the map (curiously the map trophy is repair the generator of the eleven room.)(stanger things)

-on the second floor there is a room with a cage with a sheet on top, if you stop to see it that cage will shake and you will hear a rat. (stranger things 3)

-the exit doors are identical to those of the first sequence of the first chapter when that scientist is running away from that demogorgon.(stranger things)

-in the exit area we can see the hawkins laboratory in all his glory, it is identical to the tv show(it also seems as if the walls of the exit zone were part of the upside down)(stranger things1,2,3&4)

-this map is better than gideon meat plant(sorry saw franchise)

I bet you everything you want to netflix was amazed with the results.

¿Why do you think we are still getting cosmetics from Nancy, Steve and the Demogorgon?

I don't know. I do a little dance when I load into this map as ghost face, hag, or wraith with bone clapper. It's taken me a bit but I'm warming up to it.

Hawkins is the worst map, EVERY PALLET IS UNSAFE, LOL. It is BY FAR the most killer sided map in the game, which is fun for killer mains but sucks for people who play both sides.

I love this map for its atmosphere, looks, and general neat ######### to look at while I'm playing on it. It's a great addition imo. Just....

I hate trying to navigate it. HATE IT. ######### this map.

Really need to stockpile about 20 Lab Offerings on someone and then burn them all so I can learn the ins and outs of it. Play Killer once I hit Rank 3/4 so I can depip and just wander around figuring out ######### leads to where. I ALWAYS get burnt on this one generator that sits in a single-entry room, and it looks like the other sides are open, but they really aren't. It's worse than trying to navigate a 5-gens to go Game map. ffs

I quite enjoy the map as Survivor. Decent loop spots and plenty of pallets.

I kinda like it as Killer. Too noisy tho.

I love the design and feel, personally.

I enjoy the map a lot, honestly my favourite map so far. If I had to change something it would be the stupid pallet upstairs in that tiny room >.>

Still the best map in the entire game.

Yes, it's the best map in the game if you only play killer.

If you value good map design and balanced gameplay it's the worst map. That being said there are more survivor sided maps hurting map balance than killer sided, Hawkins lab just happens to be BY FAR the most killer sided map in the game.

Yeah sucks you can't infinitely loop the killer around 1 pallet, most loops require you to use 2 pallets, and there are no broken safe loops that abuse a window. As I said, learn the map, and it won't be a problem for you anymore. The map is never a problem for me, and I really appreciate how well they had it designed as a Stranger Things fan.

It's a good map really balanced. No broken loops requires both sides to actually know how to play.

  • Yeah I hate this map too, I usually just mess around I don't play serious on it.

If by "consistent" you mean consistently boring, consistently repetitive and completely and consistently disorienting, yes, then I agree it's the most consistent map. And I'm not even going to mention the dead ends. But those attributes seem to be a well established pattern for indoor maps in DBD, which is why I'm hoping that there won't be any more indoor maps.

I like the aesthetics. Very killer-sided. Don't break many of the pallets, they're ezpz to mindgame and you can even pallet respect because many of the loops are ridiculously short and useless without a stun. Remember to follow blood pools, you have free bloodhound on those floors.

As a survivor, never burn that offering. The gen on the top floor is a death trap without balance landing. Never run up there if you're being chased.

I love the map, but at the same time, I hate it. It's good in the sense that as both Survivor and Killer, it's varied enough for chases. But, the noises of doors, dead ends, gens tricky to find at times, those are it's downsides for me. Pallets I feel are a mixed bag. Depending on the killer you're up against, they can make or break a chase. Totem placements are most likely the best in the game, since they're actually well hidden at times, at least, in the sense they're not sitting in an open field lit up like a christmas tree waiting for a survivor to come along to it.

LOL no way Gideon meat plant is the best map for killers.
