Why don’t ranks reset to the first rank of the previous color?

I mean seriously, what’s the point of having a rank reset when there’s the chance of literally decreasing ONE rank (going from rank 4 to rank 5 at a rank reset)

personally a much better change would be to reset your rank to the first one of the previous color you had prior to said reset (except brown ranks)

    That would make it easier to derank I guess? Who knows why the devs do what they do (*cough* swf matchmaking)

    Tbh it'll just be everyone at red ranks eventually and whoever joins the game when that happens will never get a match with anyone. With that change you might as well just match anyone with everyone at that point
