Iridecent Heads - Problematic add-ons
With recent nerfs and buffs, I’m wondering if iri heads could finaly see a huge well deserved nerf soon, or they are buisy “fixing” the other aspects of the game.
Not interested in arguements about this add-on. It’s clearly broken when you get people DC-ing more often than not if it’s being used. And you can’t blame them either. It’s the killers fault for bringing in something obliviously ridiculous.

I doubt the devs will touch huntress anytime soon. If they hit her add ons on the way to Billy's I wouldn't mind it. Make iri head less cheesable and give her another iri add on.

You are not interested in a discussion about iri heads and just say they are "broken" what they are not. People DC-ing is your argument for a nerf... alright.
I hope they never change iri heads. If players would at least try to learn playing against this instead of just DC-ing it would make playing survivors more skilled and less "nerf everything I dont like or I DC".

I would argue they aren't broken. Being unopen to discussion makes your call to nerf seem much weaker, would you care to engage me in a civil chat over why they are OP and need to be nerfed?

They are broken. The devs obviously overlooked the fact it can be combined with extra hatchet add ons to increase its power by 100-200%. Just remove this exploit and people will be fine with it.

Id much rather you needed to be at least 12m away from the killer, that range isnt huge but will stop alot of the one-hit downs at simple loops/pallets

It was debated many many times in many places. This post is just a reminder to the devs so they won’t forget about it. I’ve already made a post about this in the past, and as you can guess it was filled with nonsense arguements to protect it.
Considering recent balance changes the devs have no reason not to nerf this add-on since they are open to nerf less impactfull stuff too that noone asked for.

They are not broken. They work as intented. The devs are well aware that you can combine them with belts. what are you talking about? Its not a power increase with more hatchets, they still one shot. You just have more hatchets dude. How the hell people think its an exploit. omfg...

Increasing the power of a killer's power by 100-200% shouldn't be possible. I guess since moris and keys exist devs are allowed to do whatever they want.

No need to justify a nerf goal here. It is clear that the add-on is owerpovered. It was being ignored because it isn’t used that often so less people complained.

You can’t play against Iridescent Head when the Huntress is revving your back and hitting one shot hatchets at melee range. I only see bad Huntresses use it. Players who are good at Huntress don’t need it.
You claim that playing against Iridescent Head would make survivors more skillful but it requires zero skill from the Huntress. It’s just a super cheap one shot.
Iridescent Head either needs to only apply instadown from further than a certain distance (24 meters) to promote long range shots from Huntress which is actually the fun skillful part of playing Huntress, not back revving and instadowning at melee range. Or it needs to not stack with other add-ons so Huntress only has one hatchet.

As for requiring zero skill...that's a bunch of balderdash. When you're running iri head, you have way less hatchets (max of 3, WITH another addon), and you have to make every shot count. If you miss, you have nothing.
I can already tell you haven't played Huntress against semi competent survivors.

This add-on should only grant 1-shot from long shot range (e.g. 24 or 32+m)
Killer would keep the 5 hatchets with the purple belt (-2 hatchets instead of -4 for iri add-on)
BBQ and all aura reading perk (e.g. bitter) would be used for fun shots :)

A.) Myers has to work for his Tier 3 and it doesn’t last the entire match without the use of an add-on and it takes forever to get to Tier 3 with the Tuft of Hair.
B.) Bubba is terrible and in no way compares to Iridescent Head.
C.) Billy can’t do much about pallet looping. You actually have to know how to curve around pallets, ya know...things that require mindgames and skill. A good Billy earns their downs.
A good Huntress will not miss her shot in a melee range. It doesn’t even feel good to use as Huntress. All you do is destroy the team. 80% of the Huntresses that use Iridescent Head pair it with a mori and kill the team in 4 minutes. I don’t see how you think it is a balanced add-on. It’s overkill.
If Iridescent Head applied instadowns farther than a certain distance (she would be able to keep all five hatchets) or trumped all other add-ons than sure it would be balanced.

IT's already been gutted lmao, You get 3 chances per reload to hit someone with the purple belt, on quite a few maps, you may as well be an M1 killer getting looped at an infinite.

Its odd, first you say skilled huntress players dont use it, then you say you need to be a good huntress player to use it. Could you please try to stick to one point. It gets really confusing what you mean.

The devs already nerfed the addon by increasing the number of hatchets your missing from 2 to 4. You cant call it an oversight anymore when its already been looked at. Also, using addons isnt an "exploit".

Typically when I hear about the back revving 1 shot Huntress arguement, I end up wondering how people survive against Bubba. If thats all your doing is getting melee range before ever tossing a hatchet, surely Bubba is a more lethal version since he at least moves at 115%.

An Ultra Rare add on that only increases the gen up to 25% AFTER hitting BOTH "difficult" skill checks is broken in your opinion

Yes, iri heads is too strong and it should have a slight nerf, maybe a range requirement for one-shots, although i don't believe the hate is justified, since the counterplay is still available (juking the hatchets and forcing m1 on short loops).

I swear I lose my mind here. Totally agree and usually you even have a movement buff from pwyf on bubba. Idk what some players are thinking. I mean if you get meleed by huntress its your own fault. I mean she got a pretty big lullaby radius.

Iridescent heads isn't something used in every game you see it once in a while at max they get 3 it's not that bad sometimes the deck is stacked against you nbd

That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard that you blame the killer for a survivor Disconnecting because of an add on... the hatchet is one of the easier range attacks to dodge and especially when people are really good at survivor. I do think that it should hard cap the 1 hatchet limit so you can't use extra hatchet add ons in combination but it's pink for a reason. lol

And what was the point of this comment? Sure I agree because you know what? In not a survivor main but unlike the selfish peasants who only play half of the game and protect their broken stuff, I acknowledge what might needs to be fixed.
EDIT: It’s more like the toolboxes that needs to be nerfed imo, but that deserves it’s own thread anyway.
